Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), U Aung Kyi Nyunt, stated that in order to build a peaceful and prosperous nation with a sound political system, it is essential to completely dismantle the military dictatorship at its root.
He further emphasized, “It is crucial that we do not relent in our efforts to remove the power-hungry military dictatorship. We must continue our dedicated efforts with unwavering commitment. Uprooting the military dictatorship from this country is a fundamental necessity for establishing a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive political system that serves all ethnic nationalities within the Union.”
Additionally, the CRPH Chair called for ongoing collaboration among revolutionary forces with mutual understanding, trust, respect, and recognition, urging all sides to work together with care and vision during this decisive phase of dismantling the common enemy.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Ministry of Human Rights vows full accountability for the aerial bombing of Laipyet Village by the terrorist military group

The Ministry of Human Rights has issued a statement declaring its full commitment to pursuing accountability for the aerial bombing carried out by the terrorist military group on Laipyet Village in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region.
On April 18, 2025, at approximately 9:55 a.m., two military aircraft dropped two bombs over the vicinity of Aung Myint Motorcycle Sales Center and Swe Myo Small-Scale Industry Furniture Workshop in Laipyet Village, Thabeikkyin Township, Pyin Oo Lwin District, Mandalay Region. The attack occurred in the absence of any armed clashes at the time.
As a result of the bombing, 12 civilians were killed—8 men, 3 women, and 1 child—including passersby, and many other civilians sustained injuries.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to the principles of equality, peace, and justice for all citizens and affirmed that it will take all necessary steps to hold the perpetrators accountable for the military’s violent crimes.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. SAC airstrike drops 500-pound bomb near Khone Gyi Village, Taungtha Township, despite no active conflict

Reports confirm that the terrorist military council carried out an aerial attack near Khone Gyi Village in Taungtha Township, deploying a 500-pound bomb, even though there was no active fighting in the area.
At 11:10 p.m. on April 21, the airstrike was conducted without any preceding combat activity, and assessments of damage and casualties are still underway. This was confirmed by the People’s Movement Committee of Taungtha.
Moreover, around 5 a.m. the same day, approximately 30 SAC troops were deployed from Maline to Yonegyi, and an additional 20 troops were reportedly sent from Taungtha town to Than Naung Kone Pyu Village as reinforcement.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Launglon PDF Provides Food Aid to Around 500 War-Displaced Civilians

The Launglon People’s Defense Force (PDF) has distributed food aid to approximately 500 internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by conflict.
The aid was delivered as part of a New Year charitable donation drive, targeting civilians displaced by clashes in Launglon Township. The support came from public donations, including contributions from the Koh Tao Myanmar Community in Thailand—part of a total contribution exceeding 10 million kyats, including 4.5 million kyats from the Koh Tao group.
The Launglon PDF’s IDP Assistance Unit provided the aid, which included 100 bags of rice, as well as various dry rations such as cooking oil, instant noodles, onions (red and white), masala, dried chilies, canned fish, chickpea powder, sugar, and solar-powered lamps for nighttime use. Additionally, the initiative included free haircuts for children.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Roofs of Shops in Demoso Central Market Being Removed, Say Residents

In Karenni State's Demoso Township, residents report that roofs of shops within the central market area are being dismantled, according to coverage by Kantarawaddy Times.
On April 20, members of the temporary administrative council of Demoso Town, alongside local residents, conducted a field inspection of the town. During their visit, they discovered that the roofs of some public-owned market stalls had been removed.
“When we made the rounds, we also went to inspect the market. What we saw was disheartening—some shops still had roofs, but others were completely roofless. Even some civilian homes had lost their roofs. Compared to before, the damage has become more widespread,” said the Chairperson of the Demoso Interim Administrative Council.
In response to ongoing theft and dismantling of public property in Demoso, the temporary administrative council has announced plans to implement preventative measures and continue taking necessary actions.
Local residents of Demoso have been displaced by conflict since May 2021, following the military coup. The Demoso Interim Administrative Council is reportedly formed by representatives from Myoma Village Tract, Dee Village Tract, and Ngwetaung Village Tract.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Total Death Toll of Democracy Activists and Civilians During Spring Revolution Reaches 6,520

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), a total of 6,520 democracy activists and civilians have been killed between February 1, 2021, when the unlawful military coup began, and April 21, 2025, due to violence perpetrated by the military junta and its allies during the Spring Revolution period.
Furthermore, a total of 29,044 individuals have been arrested in connection with the coup, of whom 22,168 remain in detention. Among the detainees, 10,757 have been sentenced to imprisonment, according to AAPP’s statement.
The AAPP also reported that during the recent Myanmar New Year Thingyan holiday period, the military junta carried out a series of aerial bombings, resulting in the deaths of 91 civilians.
The military launched these airstrikes across Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Tanintharyi, Karen, Rakhine, and Chin States during the festival period. Of the total killed in airstrikes, 21 civilian deaths have been verified by name, while 70 additional deaths remain under verification.
On April 10, 2025 (Myanmar New Year’s Day), the junta announced a mass release of 4,893 detainees. By 4 p.m. on April 21, AAPP confirmed that among them, approximately 380 political prisoners had been released from 21 prisons across the country.
Of these, 38 individuals have been identified by name, according to AAPP.
