๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Revolutionary Hospital Known as "Changyin Base" Destroyed by Terrorist Military’s Airstrikes
April 27
The revolutionary hospital, widely known as "Changyin Base," was destroyed following airstrikes by the terrorist military, according to an announcement made by Dr. Soe Min, the hospital’s administrator, to the public.
Dr. Soe Min explained in a video statement that the destruction resulted from aerial attacks carried out by the terrorist military council on April 22 and 24.
On the night of April 22, at around 11:30 PM, the terrorist military dropped two bombs from aircraft. The blasts caused significant damage to the laboratory building, shattering its walls and ripping apart the roofing, resulting in extensive damage to the equipment inside. Residential quarters also suffered such severe destruction that they became uninhabitable.
Although the walls of the surgical unit remained intact, the ceilings and protective structures were torn open, and some of the medical equipment inside the surgical unit was also damaged, Dr. Soe Min reported.
Additionally, several key hospital facilities were destroyed, including the Outpatient Department, Patient Treatment Ward, two pharmacy storerooms, patient testing laboratories, maternity ward, delivery ward, housing for hospital staff, nurses’ quarters, dining hall, kitchen, and water supply systems.
On April 24, shortly after 10:00 AM, the terrorist military launched a second bombing attack.
This assault damaged the walls of the unfinished surgical unit, caused injuries, and destroyed surgical equipment.
Video documentation showed that accommodations where wounded patients were housed were also badly damaged following the two successive bombing raids, which were only separated by a single day.
Although there were no human casualties from these attacks, the scale of material destruction and loss was immense, Dr. Soe Min emphasized.
The revolutionary hospital, popularly known as the "Changyin Base," had first opened on January 1, 2022. After more than two years of operation, it was ultimately destroyed in the terrorist military’s bombing raids on April 24.
