๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Four Civilians Killed After Military Opened Fire on Two Passenger Vehicles in Setuttara Township
April 6 – Radio NUG
In Setuttara Township, Magway Region, four civilians were killed when two passenger vehicles came under fire by the military near Kuto Pyusawhti Village, according to the local People’s Defense Team.
The attack occurred around 9 p.m. on April 3, between Kuto Pyusawhti and Auk Waw villages. The military troops aligned with the junta reportedly fired upon the two civilian vehicles traveling along the road.
Military-aligned propaganda sources have falsely claimed that resistance forces were responsible for the incident. However, the People’s Defense Team of Setuttara Township stated that the junta troops had launched clearance operations in the surrounding area since April 1, deploying over 60 soldiers in multiple military columns and outposts nearby.
The People's Defense Team strongly condemned both the junta's attempt to distort public perception with disinformation aimed at discrediting the resistance and the deliberate attack against civilians. The group has vowed to respond accordingly.
The statement also highlighted a broader pattern of systematic violations committed by the junta, including:
Arbitrary arrest and execution of civilians,
Bombing of populated areas,
Occupation of villages and planting of landmines in commonly traversed zones,
Imposing daytime travel restrictions and nighttime curfews under Section 144,
Shooting at travelers, and
Using military laws to conduct unlawful arrests and extort money from targeted individuals.
The People’s Defense Team of Setuttara has issued a public advisory urging residents to limit travel between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. to avoid military encounters.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. CNA Camp in Tonzang Attacked by Junta and ZRA; Nakzang Village Entirely Torched
April 6 – Radio NUG
The joint forces of the Myanmar military and the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) launched an assault on a Chin National Army (CNA) base in Tonzang Township, Chin State, and subsequently burned down the entire village of Nakzang, according to local sources.
The CNA’s Battalion 4 confirmed that at around 6 a.m. on April 3, the joint forces breached and attacked CNA camps located in Tonzang Township, near the India-Manipur border. The attackers were the Myanmar junta troops and their ally, the ZRA.
Chin resistance forces—comprising the Chin National Front (CNF), CNA, and allied units—successfully repelled the attack, inflicting casualties and forcing the ZRA fighters to retreat. During the counteroffensive, several drones and small arms used by the ZRA were reportedly seized.
While retreating, the ZRA forces torched nearly all of Nakzang village, sparing only the local church. Approximately 80 homes were destroyed in the fire.
Villagers from Nakzang have now taken refuge in Tonzang town, located near the Manipur River.
The CNA stressed that the attack took place during a humanitarian ceasefire declared in light of the recent earthquake disaster. The ceasefire was intended to enable rescue and relief operations for affected civilians. The CNA condemned the junta and ZRA for exploiting the situation and pledged to launch retaliatory offensives to eliminate their presence.

April 6 – Radio NUG
On the night of April 5, around 11:30 p.m., Yangon-based resistance group "Yangon Army" launched an attack using two 40mm grenade launchers against the Aung Thapyay intelligence outpost in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region.
The Aung Thapyay station, known for training Pyusawhti militia and notorious for its role in interrogating and torturing political detainees, is a high-profile intelligence hub of the junta.
According to the statement, the attack followed two days of reconnaissance due to heavy junta patrols in the area. While details on the extent of damage are yet to be confirmed, there are reports of possible casualties among junta forces. All resistance personnel involved in the operation reportedly returned safely.
Yangon Army further announced that they will continue targeting key military outposts and installations until the dictatorship is completely dismantled.
The same Aung Thapyay outpost was previously attacked on May 21 of the previous year with a remote-controlled mine, injuring junta police officers stationed there.
