๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Clash near Kam Ni – Gon Min Ai Village in Taungoo Township Leaves Two Junta Soldiers Dead

On June 17, between 7:21 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., a clash erupted near Kam Ni – Gon Min Ai Village in Taungoo District, involving:

  • The People’s Defence Force Thandaung, operating under Battalion 5, Division 2,
  • A joint column also under Battalion 5, and
  • A junta road-based patrol unit.

The exchange resulted in the death of two junta soldiers and injuries to three others, according to the official statement.

No casualties were reported among the revolutionary fighters, who were able to safely withdraw after the operation. Reports indicate that some military equipment belonging to the junta patrol unit was also seized.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Three ABSDF Column-3 Fighters Killed in Assault to Capture Kantdaw Police Outpost, Pale Township

On the morning of June 19, 2025, at 6:40 a.m., the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), leading a coalition of allied revolutionary forces, launched a coordinated assault and successfully captured the Kantdaw police outpost in Pale Township, according to an official announcement.

Further details from the operation will be released in subsequent updates, the statement said.

During the battle to capture the outpost, three fighters from the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) Column-3, specifically from Battalion 14, fell in action, it was confirmed.

Those who gave their lives with honor on June 17, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., during the operation at Kantdaw village outpost, were:

  • Comrade Htaik Gyi (aka Than Htaik Aung)
  • Comrade Student Lay (aka Chit Zaw Phyo)
  • Comrade James Maung

They were taking part in a joint effort with allied columns in the federal democratic resistance movement when they were killed in action.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Airstrike Near Monastery in Hmaw Wan Lay Village, Hpakant Township, Injures Two Children

At around 3:17 p.m. on June 19, a fighter jet from the junta’s Bridgehead Air Base dropped a bomb near the monastery in Hmaw Wan Lay Village, Hpakant Township, followed by a round of machine gun fire, according to local sources.

The attack resulted in two children being injured.

In the morning of June 19 and the night of June 18, combined forces from the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and Kachin People's Defence Force (KPDF) launched attacks on junta troops stationed in Hmaw Wan Lay village, leading to exchange of gunfire. The junta also retaliated with heavy artillery support from its Hpakant-based military command.
