๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. All Burma Federation of Student Unions Sends Message of Congratulations on the First Anniversary of the All Burma Women’s Union
June 7
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the founding of the All Burma Women’s Union (ABWU), which emerged during the anti-military dictatorship movement, the All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU) has sent a formal message of congratulations.
The ABWU, which was established in the midst of the resistance against military dictatorship, marks its first full year on this day, June 7. In recognition of this milestone, the ABFSU issued a message expressing joy and solidarity.
In its message, the ABFSU stated that it takes pride in standing shoulder to shoulder with women's unions that are actively pushing back against a deeply entrenched patriarchal system while advancing along the path of anti-dictatorship struggle.
It also emphasized that under the patriarchal military dictatorship—where the system uses patriarchy as a tool to reinforce control—women face various forms of oppression even more acutely than men. The ABFSU stressed that as long as women remain unliberated under this regime, the core essence of the people’s democratic revolution cannot be fully realized.
Therefore, the ABFSU urged the All Burma Women’s Union to remain steadfast with the oppressed populace and continue fighting until both the roots of the military dictatorship are uprooted and full liberation for women is achieved.

June 7
An artillery shell fired by the military exploded at Khon Sar Hill in Lone Khin Village, located in Hpakant Township, Kachin State, causing multiple houses to catch fire and resulting in fatalities, according to local sources.
A military unit based at Hpakant Tactical Command reportedly launched a drone strike at around 9:05 PM on June 6, targeting the Yamgo site operated by the Ayer Oo Company situated at Khon Sar Hill, according to Kachin military sources. The drone dropped a bomb on the location.
As a result of this attack, residential homes in the area known as “Peaceful and Prosperous Khon Sar Hill” were engulfed in flames and destroyed, and there have been confirmed deaths.
Local residents reported that 12 houses were burned to the ground, and nine bodies have been recovered, including that of a child.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Junta Forces Ransack Villages and Destroy Gem Companies in Hpakant Region
June 7
A junta column deployed to Hpakant in Kachin State has been conducting military operations by moving from village to village throughout the week, while systematically destroying jade mining companies, according to local sources.
The joint military column, which entered the Hpakant region on May 27, has since been involved in daily destruction of some jade mining companies—setting facilities ablaze and demolishing heavy machinery and equipment.
On May 31, the junta column raided several companies in Maw Si Sar village, which is part of the Lone Khin Village Tract. The targeted companies included:
- Tit Thone Lone Company,
- Tin Aung Kyine Company,
- Nay Min Kanbawza Company, and
- Myanma Ta Kaung Company.
The troops torched company buildings and destroyed machinery during the raid, according to reports.
On June 3, a massive explosion occurred at another jade mining company in the same area, killing two company workers and injuring several others, local reports stated, citing eyewitnesses.
On June 4, KIA-allied resistance forces reportedly opened fire on a military helicopter delivering weapons and supplies to junta troops stationed in Hpakant. The helicopter, which was en route to the Hpakant Tactical Command base, was forced to turn back mid-flight and failed to land due to the attack, according to local sources.
The junta troops have also set up camp in Lone Khin Village and continue to move from village to village conducting raids. On June 5, this pattern of movement led to a direct clash between junta troops and a coalition force that includes the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
On the night of June 6, at around 9 PM, another artillery shell launched by the Hpakant Tactical Command landed and exploded, killing nine civilians, including women and children. Homes and vehicles were also destroyed in the ensuing fire, according to local reports.
The junta forces have been advancing into villages controlled by the KIA and allied resistance forces in the Hpakant region, leading residents of Lone Khin and surrounding areas to fear that intensified clashes may soon erupt.
This report was filed by Ko Khant, a field correspondent for Radio NUG.
