๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. SAC fails to present credible evidence even in the case of the assassination of a retired Brigadier General
June 8
Even in the case of a retired Brigadier General being assassinated, the military junta (SAC) has failed to present credible evidence, according to the Technical Raptor group, which specializes in the analysis of weapons and their mechanisms.
The case concerns the death of retired Brigadier General Cho Htun Aung, who had been teaching national security and counter-terrorism subjects. The SAC issued a press statement describing the situation as an arrest operation, but the "evidence" they presented reportedly included a toy gun, according to Technical Raptor.
The group pointed out that the SAC had claimed Cho Htun Aung was attacked with a firearm, but the weapon shown in photos appears to be a toy gun. The pistol that the junta showed off in a carefully posed photo was in fact a replica, identifiable by its magazine, they said.
The magazine includes a small metallic cylinder, which is actually a CO₂ cartridge commonly used in airsoft toy guns. These guns operate by using compressed gas to fire small plastic pellets. The CO₂ gas in the cylinder propels the BB (ball bearing), simulating gunfire, the group explained.
Although airsoft guns are considered toys, many adults collect and use them as a hobby, and in some cases, they are even used in military training scenarios. Technically, airsoft guns fall into categories based on their firing mechanisms—such as Automatic Electric Guns (AEG), which operate on battery power, and Gas Blowback Guns (GBB), which use gas.
If it is true that a national security instructor like Cho Htun Aung was attacked with a CO₂-powered airsoft gun, as proven by photographic evidence, then "even the dead would rise from hell to curse Min Aung Hlaing and his associates," remarked Technical Raptor.
The junta’s inability to substantiate evidence in a high-profile case like this has drawn further scrutiny, especially as they continue to arrest children as young as six—an incident that also made international headlines as a top news story.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Moebye Main Road Closed Indefinitely Due to Intensifying Clashes
June 8
The main road in Moebye, a town on the Shan-Karenni (Kayah) border, has been closed indefinitely due to escalating clashes between the junta’s forces and revolutionary troops, according to a public announcement by resistance groups.
The junta has been launching full-scale military offensives in an attempt to regain control of Moebye, which it previously lost, resulting in near-daily clashes with revolutionary forces, sources report.
Given the severity of the current ground conflict, the use of the Moebye main road is now considered extremely dangerous. As a result, the road has been indefinitely closed to all civilian traffic, according to a statement from Pekon PDF.
Pekon PDF Battalion 1006 has also urged local civilians and internally displaced persons (IDPs) living on the eastern shore of Pekon Lake to refrain from using the Moebye main road under any circumstances.
Additionally, the statement called on the public to participate in and support the security operations being carried out by the people’s defense forces.
Moebye is regarded as a militarily strategic location. Should the junta succeed in recapturing the town, it would gain access to key areas within Karenni State. Resistance forces currently stationed in the region are therefore maintaining firm defensive positions to prevent any such advance.
This report was filed by Radio NUG correspondent Ko Khant.
