๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Four Civilians Injured as Terrorist Junta Drops 250-Pound Bombs on Thabeikkyin Township from the Air
The terrorist military conducted airstrikes on villages in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, dropping 250-pound bombs, injuring four civilians and destroying four homes, according to the People's Defense Organization of Pyin Oo Lwin District.
The airstrike was carried out by a jet fighter launched from the Meiktila-Shante Air Base, under the control of the junta forces, targeting Laitkya Village in Thabeikkyin Township at 7:18 PM on July 12, dropping a single 250-pound bomb.
As a result of this attack, a 16-year-old girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
Subsequently, at 7:22 PM, another airstrike targeted Zayatkwin Village in the same township, where another 250-pound bomb was dropped. This second attack injured three civilians—one man and two women—with non-life-threatening injuries, and four civilian homes were reported destroyed.
The terrorist junta had also attacked Zayatkwin Village earlier on July 5, injuring two male civilians.
On July 6, the junta also launched two airstrikes using cluster munitions on Golf Course (29) Field in Thabeikkyin Township, although no civilian casualties were reported in that incident.
In response to these repeated attacks, the People's Defense Organization of Pyin Oo Lwin District and local revolutionary forces have urged civilians to distance themselves from junta positions and to dig and prepare bomb shelters to protect against aerial assaults.
