On July 13, the Karenni Orthopedic Corps announced its official formation, comprising all orthopedic surgeons currently working in the hospitals across Karenni State.
According to the announcement, the team includes all orthopedic specialists (Ortho Surgeons) in Karenni and is now actively providing orthopedic services to resistance fighters and civilians throughout Karenni, excluding the SAC-controlled town of Loikaw.

๐๐ 2. MHAC Assists 50 Myanmar Workers in Thailand Facing Nearly Two Years of Labor Rights Violations
The Myanmar Humanitarian Assistance Committee (MHAC) has officially filed a complaint with Thai authorities on behalf of 50 Myanmar workers employed at a coconut product factory in Samut Sakhon, Thailand, who have faced nearly two years of labor rights violations.
Reports state that these 50 Myanmar workers have been subjected to severe labor exploitation, resulting in significant hardship in their daily lives. According to MHAC, the workers have been forced to endure oppressive conditions for almost two years, including being assigned workloads meant for three workers to only two people, excessive working hours without receiving overtime pay, and having their rights systematically violated through various means by the employer.
Ye Min, an MHAC representative in Thailand, told Yangon Khit Thit Media that:
“For instance, two workers are made to do the job meant for three, or three are made to do the job of five. They're also made to work long hours without any OT pay. For the entire two-year period, the employer refused to take responsibility for workplace injuries. If workers protested, their jobs were terminated. They were also denied access to official public holidays. The workers could no longer tolerate these abuses and finally came to us for help. We've filed a complaint with the Sawatdikan Office.”
The MHAC alliance, led by Ye Min, along with officials from the Ministry of Labor of the National Unity Government (NUG), has called for action to be taken against the Thai employer who has subjected the workers to these prolonged rights violations.
They are also working to ensure that the affected workers receive full restitution, including the compensation for their lost labor rights and wages.
Thai authorities have reportedly assured that they will investigate the employer and factory in question and will take steps to ensure that the workers’ losses are redressed within a specified timeframe.
