The Myanmar military junta carried out another aerial bombing on Hsipaw town, which is under the control of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), at 12:05 a.m. on the night of July 22, dropping a 500-pound bomb, according to a statement released by TNLA on July 23.
The airstrike targeted the area of the former military base of Infantry Battalion 23, using a jet fighter, and reportedly caused damage to a hall within the abandoned compound.
According to local sources, the junta appears to have deliberately bombed a structure located in their former base, confirming visible destruction.
The TNLA’s Information and Public Relations Department also reported that this is not the first attack: On July 19, the same site—Infantry Battalion 23—was bombed using a 250-pound bomb dropped from a jet fighter.
The military junta had also carried out three consecutive airstrikes targeting civilian populations in Hsipaw on July 4, July 14, and July 19, resulting in:
2 civilian deaths
5 civilians injured
Destruction of 13 homes, 6 buildings, and school dormitories at one school, according to TNLA records.

In Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, a resistance group attacked junta soldiers stationed at the Nyaung Pin Thar Agricultural School while they were leaving on motorbikes, resulting in approximately four soldiers killed and weapons seized, according to Shwebo District Battalion 4.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on July 22, when six junta soldiers stationed at the school departed on three motorbikes along the Shwebo–Ye U road. Resistance fighters from Battalion 4 ambushed them as they left.
The result of the ambush included:
4 junta soldiers killed
1 G-3 rifle
2 ammunition magazines
168 rounds of ammunition
1 hand grenade
Additional military equipment seized
Following the initial attack, reinforcements from the junta arrived, but resistance fighters counterattacked using drones and bombs, reportedly injuring another 4 junta soldiers.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Three Junta Soldiers Killed in Ambush Near Htine Shu Police Station, Thanbyuzayat, Mon State

On July 22, a coalition of resistance forces launched an attack on a junta outpost located about 200 meters from the Htine Shu Police Station in Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, resulting in 3 junta soldiers killed, according to a joint statement.
The attack was conducted by forces under the Defense Department of the Mon State Federal Council (MSFC), including:
Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF)
Ye People’s Defense Force (YPDF)
In coordination with KNLA Battalion 27, Company 1
The ambush began at 11:20 a.m. on July 22 and ended by 11:30 a.m., with the joint resistance forces retreating safely without casualties.
Casualties on the junta side included:
2 police officers killed
3 junta soldiers killed
At least 3 others seriously injured
This marks a coordinated effort between the Mon and Karen ethnic armed organizations and local People’s Defense Forces, showing continued collaboration in the armed resistance.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Military Boats Looting Civilian Boats in Kanyonekyun Village Attacked on the Tavoy River — 3 Soldiers Killed

According to the People's Defense Force (PDF) in Launglon Township, three junta soldiers were killed during an attack on military vessels looting civilian-owned boats near Kanyonekyun Village in Tavoy (Dawei) Township, located in Tanintharyi Region.
On July 12 at around 10:00 a.m., two military vessels and one speedboat approached the eastern side of Kanyonekyun Village via the Tavoy River. Upon arrival, they opened fire into the village using heavy artillery, 20mm automatic guns, and other mounted weapons. Shortly afterward, they reportedly seized small civilian boats docked along the riverbank using a speedboat landing craft.
Resistance fighters witnessed the looting and initiated an ambush attack, successfully damaging the speedboat and killing three soldiers, with one more sustaining serious injuries, according to PDF Launglon.
During the clash, the junta vessels returned fire with heavy weaponry, but all resistance fighters withdrew safely without casualties.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Resistance Forces Warn Civilians to Stay Alert as Military Convoy of Naval Vessels Advances Toward Htigyaing

A group of military naval vessels, which had docked near Ngachangdaung Village in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, is reportedly continuing upstream movement toward Htigyaing Township, prompting urgent warnings from resistance forces for local civilians to remain cautious.
According to resistance fighters, the naval flotilla may arrive in Htigyaing by today, July 23, and residents are urged to take shelter or evacuate as needed.
This flotilla is believed to be part of a military convoy heading toward Bhamo (Banmaw) in Kachin State, according to resistance forces stationed within Htigyaing Township.
The fleet, consisting of 17 military vessels, had departed Gawun Port in Mandalay and is advancing along the Irrawaddy River. Despite being previously attacked by joint resistance forces in Thabeikkyin Township, the flotilla continues its upstream journey.
On July 22, the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense released a statement saying that during one such ambush by the Irrawaddy Joint Resistance Naval Task Force, one military vessel was sunk, and several others were damaged by fire.
In light of the approaching flotilla, the People’s Defense Force Battalion 1 of Banmaw District issued an emergency alert, urging civilians living along the riverbanks in Banmaw District to relocate immediately to safer areas.
The Banmaw PDF also warned civilians to avoid riverside travel, public gatherings, and crowded events, as clashes may escalate due to potential joint air and river assaults accompanying the naval advance.

The Commander of the Zero Panther Guerrilla Force, Ko Thet Gyi, announced on July 22 via his official Facebook page that he had met with General Gun Maw of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
He shared the following message about the meeting:
“It was an unforgettable encounter to have been received by General Gun Maw. His willingness to meet with me felt like a recognition of the role that young people from Myingyan have played in the Spring Revolution. I was deeply honored to represent Myingyan in that moment.
General Gun Maw also gently reminded us that ‘Politics cannot be rushed with hasty words,’ a phrase that left a lasting impression on me. Thank you for everything.”
In addition to meeting General Gun Maw, Ko Thet Gyi also held discussions with Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, the Minister for Education and Health under the National Unity Government (NUG).

๐ฉ๐ฉ 7. Total Death Toll from the Spring Revolution Reaches 6,976 Due to the Brutal Military Junta and Its Allies

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), a total of 6,976 democracy activists and civilians have been killed during the Spring Revolution as a result of violence by the military junta and its affiliates.
This figure spans the period from February 1, 2021—the day the junta unlawfully seized power—until July 21, 2025.
In addition to the death toll:
A total of 29,410 people have been arrested in connection with the coup and the revolution.
Of these, 22,188 individuals are still being detained.
Among the detainees, 10,888 people have already been sentenced to prison terms.
