๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Mandalay People’s Defense Force Calls for New Recruits for the March Toward the Capital
July 25
Radio NUG
The Mandalay People's Defense Force (PDF) has announced an open call for new recruits to join the armed resistance in preparation for a future campaign toward the capital (Naypyidaw).
In an announcement made on July 25, the Mandalay PDF stated:
“We, the Mandalay People’s Defense Force, have now entered our fourth year in the revolutionary struggle.
We are firmly committed to the belief that our generation must be the last to live under the rule of tyranny and that it is our duty to end the military dictatorship through armed resistance.
Together, we will press on until we reach the end of this unfinished revolutionary journey.
In this current phase of the revolution, military victory is critical. Our enemy is actively working to maintain its hold, and it’s well known that they are implementing the military conscription law to draft the number of troops they need.
As long as the military junta remains in power, and the oppressive dictatorship continues, the people will not be able to live in peace.
The goal of marching toward Mandalay and ultimately the capital is no longer a distant dream—it is a journey within reach if we all strive together.
So, we invite you—our friends and comrades—to stand shoulder to shoulder with us, to join us arm in arm, and walk forward together in this next phase of the revolution.”
In addition, the Mandalay PDF urged the public to cut out the roots of fear in today’s era—calling for people to reject the climate of intimidation fostered by the regime.
