๐๐ 1. Discussion on Division of Competency and Coordination between the Union Government and Mandalay Region

It has been reported that the Federal Support and Coordination Committee (FSCC) of the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Mandalay Region Interim Political Implementation Coordination and Drafting Committee held a meeting via the Zoom platform today, August 15, 2025.
From the NUG side, the meeting was attended by ministers, deputy ministers, and officials, while committee members from the Mandalay Region Interim Drafting Committee participated on the regional side.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged and discussed matters concerning the division of competency between the Union Government and Mandalay Region, as well as issues related to coordination and joint cooperation.

๐๐ 2. Ministry of Education announces donations received for the “Safe Schools, Safe Education” Campaign as of August 15

The Ministry of Education has released the status of donations received as of August 15 for the Safe Schools, Safe Education Campaign.
According to the statement:
- From OFP and Other International Fund Raisers: USD 58,672.00
- From Spring Crowd Fund (SCF): MMK 39,229,091.92
- From GoFundMe (Brighter Future Foundation): GBP 530.00
- From GoFundMe (HDFM): USD 2,898.00
The Ministry urged continued participation and support for the campaign, which aims to ensure that children in Myanmar can continue learning safely in schools equipped with child protection measures.
The campaign’s target is USD 400,000, with the campaign period set from July 15 to August 31, 2025.

๐๐ 3. UK Government affirms continued efforts towards a peaceful democratic future for Myanmar

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the British Embassy in Yangon stated on August 15 that the UK Government remains committed to working towards a peaceful democratic future for Myanmar, in remembrance of the legacy of British and Commonwealth servicemen who gave their lives.
Andrew Jackson, Head of the British Embassy in Yangon, laid a wreath at the Yangon War Cemetery (Hanthawaddy) in tribute to those who fought and fell during military operations in Myanmar in the Second World War.
“The Second World War had a profound impact on Myanmar. In remembrance of that generation, we honour the British and Commonwealth servicemen who were killed during operations in Myanmar. The sacrifices made during the Second World War were immense, with millions of lives lost on both sides. Sadly, today’s ongoing conflicts in Myanmar continue to cause extraordinary hardship for the people. The people are enduring these challenges with resilience,” the statement read.

๐๐ 4. PSLF/TNLA meets with Kokang residents in Mogok, returns 84 individuals to their parents or guardians

According to a PSLF/TNLA statement, the General Secretary (1) of the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), Brigadier General Tar Aik Mar Wae, held a meeting with Kokang residents in Mogok City, Brigade (4) territory, Ta’ang State, on August 14.
The meeting, led by Brig-Gen Tar Aik Mar Wae, focused on discussions with the Kokang community regarding cooperation in local administration, education, and law enforcement. The PSLF/TNLA also explained their current operations and measures to promote the development of towns and villages.
As part of the meeting, the Kokang public was invited to participate in maintaining rule of law and stability in Mogok. Furthermore, 84 Kokang individuals who were not yet ready for military service were handed back to their respective guardians and parents during the session.
It was reported that over 200 people attended, including Deputy General Secretary (1) Brig-Gen Tar Aik Mar Wae, Deputy Chief of Staff Brig-Gen Tar Gawng Zeng, PSLF/TNLA officials, township departmental personnel, and members of the public.

๐๐ 5. KNU Hpa-an District provides basic food supplies to flood-affected residents in Hlaingbwe Township

The Karen National Union (KNU) – Brigade (7), Hpa-an District, has provided basic food supplies to residents affected by flooding in Hlaingbwe Township on August 13, according to a statement from KNU Headquarters.
Local officials in Hlaingbwe Township recorded the damage in seven villages, comprising 2,564 households and 11,576 people. Hpa-an District leaders, together with township leaders, personally visited the affected areas to meet residents, offer words of encouragement, and deliver the assistance.
Those visiting included Hpa-an District’s Joint Secretary Padoh Saw Gay Htoo, Head of the Organizing and Information Department Padoh Naw Shee Wah, other district officials, Hlaingbwe Township Chairperson Padoh Saw Thun Ni, Battalion Commander of Battalion (21) Deputy Major Marn Jone, and Township Organizing and Information Department Head Padoh Saw Htoo Htoo.

๐๐ 6. Nway Oo Lottery invites CDM civil servants, ground-based battalions, and organizations to participate as representatives

The Nway Oo Lottery family announced on August 15 that CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) civil servants, ground-based battalions, and organizations contributing to the establishment of a new federal democratic state are invited to participate as official Nway Oo Lottery representatives.
“The Nway Oo Lottery not only paves the way for new dreams for the people’s future, but also continually organizes special programs to honour the heroes who steadfastly walk the path of justice and righteousness,” the statement said.
Benefits of becoming a Nway Oo Lottery representative include:
- Monthly honorarium of up to 10% based on ticket sales volume
- Additional 25% honorarium for verified CDM participants and ground-based units
- Special recognition events every three months for sales representatives
- Other exclusive benefits for members of the Nway Oo Lottery family
Applicants must provide official verification proving their CDM participation or recognition as a military battalion/unit. Honorariums and benefits will be awarded in accordance with the Nway Oo Lottery’s rules and conditions.
