📌📌 1. Nway Oo Lottery Honors Over 700 Million Kyats in Profits Earned During Fiscal Year 2024–2025

The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment, in collaboration with the CDM Success Committee, held a ceremony on October 26 to honor the contributions made by Nway Oo Lottery, which generated a net profit exceeding 700 million kyats during the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CDM Success Committee, Man Win Khaing Than, delivered an honorary opening address.
Subsequently, Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing of the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment explained the achievements of the Nway Oo Lottery’s honor contribution process for the 2024–2025 fiscal year and the upcoming implementation plans. A representative from Nway Oo Lottery also presented a comprehensive report on operational activities.
Regarding financial support from Nway Oo Lottery to the CDM Success Committee, the Financial Support Taskforce’s Focal Leader presented details of the monthly honorary fund disbursement to ministries and explained the allocation procedures based on the percentage of CDM personnel within each ministry.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Man Win Khaing Than, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, members of the CDM Success Committee, CDM ministry focal points, and representatives from Nway Oo Lottery.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Min Zeya Oo of the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment officially transferred the Nway Oo Lottery’s over 700 million kyats in fiscal year-end profit through the CDM Success Committee to the relevant ministries in recognition of their contributions.
Starting from March 2024, the Nway Oo Lottery, through the CDM Success Committee, has been providing a monthly honor fund of 700 million kyats to CDM personnel across various ministries. Throughout the 2024–2025 fiscal year, a total of 840,000,000 kyats was contributed as honorary support.

📌📌 2. “Victory Spear – Dawna Force” Campaign Launched by Dawna Column Calls for Public Participation

The Dawna Column, operating under the Special Military Region Command of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of the National Unity Government, has launched the “Victory Spear – Dawna Force” campaign.
Revolutionary forces are urging the public and supporters to actively participate in this campaign, which aims to strengthen the Dawna Column’s capacity.
The campaign has set a fundraising target of 20 million kyats, to be used primarily for essential military equipment, communications devices, and emergency medical supplies for frontline soldiers.
According to the campaign organizing team,
40% of the collected funds will go toward purchasing combat gear such as bulletproof vests, helmets, uniforms, and boots,
30% will be allocated for communications equipment, including small-scale communication devices and Starlink systems, and
the remaining 30% will be used for emergency medicine and essential rations needed due to challenging field conditions.
Commander Ye Baw Aung San Shar and former Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister Man Johnny have also called on the public to support and contribute to this campaign.

The campaign period runs from October 16 to November 16, during which the revolutionary forces continue to urge public participation and support.

📌📌 3. Political Prisoner Chan Min Htine Dies in Myingyan Prison Due to Lack of Medical Care

The Political Prisoners Network (Myanmar) – PPNM announced today (October 27) that political prisoner Chan Min Htine, who was unlawfully detained in Myingyan Prison, Mandalay Region, has died due to inadequate medical care.
According to reports, he had been suffering from kidney failure, heart disease, and jaundice and died on October 18 while still in detention at Myingyan Prison.
Chan Min Htine had been unjustly arrested and sentenced to 15 years and 6 months imprisonment under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code, Telecommunications Law, Explosives Law, and Arms Law.
He was only 29 years old at the time of his death, according to PPNM’s statement.
PPNM reports that political prisoners across Myanmar continue to face life-threatening conditions due to inadequate access to medical treatment and the denial of timely healthcare, resulting in preventable deaths.
From January to October of this year, the PPNM recorded the deaths of 28 political prisoners across the country due to lack of proper medical care and emergency treatment.

📌📌 4. Thinni District Police Accelerate Burmese Language Learning to Overcome Communication Barriers

The Thinni District Police Force in Special Region 1 of the Union of Myanmar has been intensifying its Burmese language learning program to address communication difficulties, according to Kokang News Network, the media department of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).
The district police reportedly recognized the importance of ethnic languages in carrying out their duties and have therefore strengthened their Burmese language and daily speaking courses.
The training aims to help officers overcome language-related challenges they encounter in field operations, enhance inter-ethnic communication and cooperation, and ensure that police officers perform their duties effectively and professionally.
In the course, deputy police chiefs, departmental officers, and instructors are actively participating as learners, setting an example for 20 police personnel who are also taking part attentively.
The program is conducted in the evening hours to avoid interference with regular duty schedules.
Since Thinni District is home to many different ethnic communities, the ability to overcome language barriers is seen as essential to improving public service quality, ethnic unity, and social development. The Thinni District Administration Committee had also previously organized similar Burmese language and communication courses, the report added.
