📌📌 1. NUG Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye states that the international courts must take action as soon as possible because Myanmar no longer has a rule of law
Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government, stated the following in his message to end violence against women and girls in the last week of November:
“According to data collected up to the 8th of this month, during this time, over 2,700 women have been arrested, over 400 have been killed, and over 100 have been raped. Myanmar no longer has a rule of law. International courts must take action as soon as possible.”
Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye also emphasized the need for the international community to learn about the killing of women and children in Myanmar and to provide assistance.

Dr. Sasa, Union Minister of International Cooperation of the National Unity Government stated that the military leaders are using rape and violence against women as a weapon.
In the last week of November, Union Minister Dr. Sasa said, “Looking at what these terrorist military leaders and generals are doing in Myanmar, it is clear that rape and violence against women are atrocious. The evidence of what happened to the Rohingya women shows that the brutal military leaders are using abuse and violence as a weapon.”
Since the military coup in Myanmar, there have been over 100 cases of rape and over 400 murders of women.

The Ministry of Women, Youths and Children Affairs issued the following notification on November 27:

The New York City Burmese Community announced: “A demonstration will be held on December 10 to call for an immediate end to the violence and the immediate release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and those arrested unjustly, promoting women’s rights and protecting children’s rights.”
All Myanmar nationals are invited to join the NYCBC team members in the demonstration on December 10.
The New York City Burmese Community also said that the protests abroad can alert the government of the respective country through politics and influence the foreign policy.
