📌📌 4. The NUG Minister of Human Rights claims that mentioning by name and recognizing the NUG, CRPH, EROs, and PDFs by the international community is the biggest political loss to the military council

U Aung Myo Min, Union Minister of Human Rights, said in an interview on December that mentioning by name and recognizing the NUG, CRPH, EROs, and PDFs [by the international community] is the biggest political loss to the military council.

“The peculiarity of the NDAA is that it mentions the names of the NUG, CRPH, EROs, and PDFs—which are disguised and propagated as the government over the air and terrorist groups by the terrorist military council—and recognizes that these organizations need to be supported if Myanmar’s democracy is to succeed. This recognition is the biggest political loss to the military council and is an extremely advantageous political recognition for us.” — Union Minister U Aung Myo Min said.

The U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY 2023 NDAA) and President Joe Biden signed it into law.

📌📌 9. People are being urged to update their Facebook profile photos with the frame “End of Dictatorship 2023”

The Facebook Profile Campaign to welcome the year 2023, which will end the dictatorship, was launched, and people are called on to cooperate with the spring revolution movement by changing their Facebook profile picture with the frame “End of Dictatorship 2023.”

The campaigners stated the following:

“The comrades of PDFs and EROs who are fighting with their lives on the frontlines, the comrades who are waging strikes on the ground and revolution below the ground, the CDM staff who do not obey the dictator—they all are demolishing the dictator while sacrificing everything. Looking forward to the goals —permanently liberating Myanmar from dictatorships; and passing on a better Myanmar to future generations— we will achieve those goals in a short time only if everyone plays their roles in their own capacities and work together. Changing the Facebook profile pictures with the frame ‘End of Dictatorships,’ and protesting on organizations’ social media pages are ways that anyone who can access to Internet can easily take part in the revolution.”
