📌📌 1. Acting President urges the public to value the young revolutionaries


Acting President Duwa Lashi La said that the public should value young revolutionaries like their children. On March 2, the NUG Acting President stated in his message to the public as follows:

“The lost wealth is recoverable, but every penny earned through the blood and sweat of the public is very precious. I would like to encourage the general public to value young revolutionaries like their children.”

There are currently 303 People’s Defense Battalions and approximately 260 township PDF groups, with the majority of comrades being young people.

📌📌 2. Union Prime Minister says NUG should prioritize people’s lives, safety, and the rule of law


Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than said that NUG should prioritize people’s lives, safety, and the rule of law as it is a trusted government by the public. On March 2, the Prime Minister said at the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee’s meeting as follows: 

“People’s social lives have become more insecure since the military council declared martial law. In addition, the terrorist junta’s irresponsible killings, including arbitrary looting and killings by crooks, are everywhere. As our government is a civilian government, it is necessary to prioritize people’s lives, safety, and the rule of law. The relevant ministry must extensively manage the necessary training to strengthen people’s security forces for community security and to implement public-based police working systems.”

Following that, the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee’s members clarified the decision set on 8/2023, the completed situation of the proceeding processes, and the remaining works to be carried out. Then, the attending official extensively discussed it. The meeting was attended by union ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, and department officials.

U Yee Mon has warned the terrorist military council that there is no safe place for them anywhere, including Nay Pyi Taw. In his speech to PDF colleagues on March 2, the Minister added the following:

“Last February was a proud month for the PDF Tatmadaw. This month, PDF battalions, People’s Defense Forces, and LPDFs from all three military regions collaborated to conduct exactly 70 military exercises throughout the country. Military operations will be conducted in Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay, Yangon, Bago, and Nay Pyi Taw regions. They must understand that there is no safe place for them anywhere, not even in Nay Pyi Taw.”

In February, 65 of the 70 fights were held simultaneously within 24 hours. Among the targets were two enemy air bases and one helicopter field, three KaPaSa factories, one regional military headquarters and one army headquarters, 26 enemy docks and rear camps, nine police stations, two enemy columns, and 15 Pyu Saw Htee camps.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration held a (9/2023) meeting with the District Public Administration Groups on March 2. Following the Joint Secretary of the Home Affairs and Immigration Ministry’s opening remarks, an official from the Public Administration Department clarified the Public Administration Office’s working guidelines.

Then, the attending district public administration groups asked and discussed the issues, needs, and difficulties encountered on the ground, and ministry officials responded. The meeting was attended by officials from Public Administration Department, Police Department, Fire Department, Immigration Department, Special Investigation Department and district public administration groups.

📌📌 5. Ministry of Commerce meets with CRPH’s Labor Affairs Committee


The Ministry of Commerce had a meeting with the Labor Affairs Committee of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH).

On March 1, the Ministry of Commerce held a video conference meeting with the CRPH’s Labor Affairs Committee to discuss employment opportunities for displaced people and CDMers, and issues related to workers’ capacity. U Oakar Min, the chairman of the Labour Affairs Committee, delivered opening remarks at the meeting, and the Commerce Minister Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo gave a greeting and explained the ministry’s structure and operations.

After that, ministry officials provided a detailed explanation of the ministry’s operations in terms of business and discussed issues such as creating job opportunities in rural areas, protecting labor rights, training on International Labor Standards, vocational training, and workshops on combating forced labor. Moreover, there was mutual discussion and negotiation to connect in order to provide loans for SME enterprises transparently and comprehensively.

📌📌 6. Terrorist army has committed 32 civilian massacres in Sagaing Region


According to the report, the junta troops killed 17 people from Kawlin, the Sagaing region, and 15 from Sagaing township, totaling 32 massacres of civilians. It is reported that on the evening of February 17, they raided the Kathitkone village, arrested 17 villagers and killed them.

“We have also known that all arrested individuals were killed,” said Kawlin revolutionary force (KR Team).”

The arrested people are Kathitkone villagers Myint Zaw Oo, Win Zaw, Phoe Mae, Aung Thet Naing, Myo Htet Naing, Zin Ko Min, Kyaw Tint, Naing Htwe, Thaung Shwe, Tun Htay, Tar Tee, Yan Aung, Mg Khine, Nann Ko Oo, It is known that Chel Ko, Than Shwe, and Aung Myo. Similarly, on March 1, it was reported that junta troops raided Tartaing village in Sagaing township in a column, arrested 15 civilians and killed them somewhere on the road.

“When the military column passes through, it is a way of taking hostages to prevent an attack from defense forces,” confirmed a revolutionary soldier.

In Manipur state, 94 local and India-based organizations have requested to issue temporary residence cards for Myanmar citizens. On March 2, India For Myanmar informed about the joint release statement of Myanmar revolutionary forces regarding the worrying situation in India’s Manipur state.

“We call on the Indian central government to reform its foreign policy in relation to neighboring countries, condemn the military coup attempt by the Myanmar regime, and stand up for democracy with the people of Myanmar,” the statement said.

Furthermore, they requested that the government stop arresting and imprisoning people who have crossed the border illegally due to war conflicts, release them immediately from prisons, and issue temporary residency cards to allow them to live in Manipur State out of respect and compassion for the practical difficulties faced by the people of Myanmar fleeing their homes.
