📌📌 1. The Acting President said that the enemy’s fascist army would be eradicated
The Acting President, Duwa Lashi La, said this in his congratulatory speech given for International Youth Day, which falls on August 12.
“In the spring revolution, the role of the youth generation, Generation Z, is very important. Generation Z’s sacrifices, innovation, perseverance, unity, and strong stances in the revolution will make a magnificent history in the new federal democratic union in the future. In our spring revolution, many different revolutionary methods emerged. This shows how great the role of Generation Z is. I believe that the spring revolution will be able to root out the enemy fascist army because of the sacrifices of the young generation, and their taking responsibility for the revolution from their respective roles,” said the Acting President.
On September 7, 2021, the National Unity Government declared the People’s Defensive War. During this period, more than 30,000 terrorist military council soldiers were killed.

📌📌 2. Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said that the revolution will surely prevail on account of the strong and unbreakable revolutionary spirit of Myanmar youths
Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said on International Youth Day 2023, which falls on August 12, that the revolution will surely prevail on account of the strong and unbreakable revolutionary spirit of Myanmar youths.
“Today is the day to salute all the youths who are leading the Myanmar Spring Revolution fearlessly and bravely. On account of the strong and unbreakable revolutionary spirit of the Myanmar youth, the revolution will definitely prevail,” said the Union Prime Minister.
In the current Spring Revolution, the People’s Defense Forces are youths who are already fully skilled in fighting.

📌📌 3. The meeting of the National Unity Government, Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, the Immigration Department’s Central Committee for Foreign Births (2/023) held
The meeting of the Central Committee for Foreign Births of the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration (MOHAI) of the National Unity Government (2/2023) was held.
On August 12, a central committee meeting relating to issuing birth certificates to sons and daughters born to two expatriate Myanmar parents, led by the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration of the National Unity Government, was held. Following, the Associate Secretary of the Department of Immigration explained the process of issuing birth certificates to sons/daughters born to two expatriate Myanmar parents, and attending central committee members verified and made decisions for issuing birth certificate applications.

On August 11, the regular meeting of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (32/2023) was held via video conference, and the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment (MOPFI) of the National Unity Government made a clear presentation of the work activities and the next steps.
At the meeting, Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing, the Ministry of Planning, Finance, and Investment (MOPFI), explained the purposes of the establishment of Spring Development Bank and the initial serving activities, services, and banking processes during the soft launch period. Then, he discussed the proceeding plans regarding the Spring Lottery Project, and other activities of the ministry, including the people’s movement, “Cut Fascist Income, Build Public Finances”.
After that, the participants discussed and suggested ways to connect and carry out public awareness activities on the role of the Hluttaw and other issues that they wanted to know about, and Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing gave a brief answer.
The Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw U Aung Kyi Nyunt and members, chairpersons, and secretaries of affairs committees, Union Ministers, and officials of the Ministry of Planning, Finance, and Investment attended the meeting.

📌📌 6. Sekan Village in Kale Township was burned down by the junta troops
On August 12, the Chin National Defense Force (CNDF) informed that the Sekan Village in Kale Township had been burned down by the junta troops.
Sekan Village in Kale Township, Sagaing Division (about one mile from the Kale) was set on fire by the terrorist military. It is said that since the day before yesterday, the terrorist military column has been invading, and it was delayed because the CNDF and joint forces blocked it. Today they raided the village and torched the public houses.
On August 11, artillery shells fired by the terrorist military hit and damaged a church in Sekan Village.
Sekan Village is a village where Chin people live, with about 800 residential houses. It was set on fire last year, and more than 80 houses were destroyed in the fire.

📌📌 7. The CNA and CDF-KKG joint forces attacked Infantry Battalion 268 of the military council based in Falam, killing 6 junta soldiers and seizing weapons, including 2 RPG launchers and a 0.5 machine gun
Joint forces of the Chin National Army (CNA) and Chinland Defense Force – Kalay-Kabaw-Gangaw (CDF-KKG) reportedly attacked Infantry Battalion 268 of the military council based in Falam, killing 6 junta soldiers and seizing weapons including 2 RPG launchers and a Point-5 machine gun.
It was reported that CNA and CDF-KKG joint forces attacked the military council camp at around 1:00 a.m. on August 12. The battle lasted until 2:30 a.m., and in the battle that lasted for 2 and a half hours, 6 junta soldiers from the military council side were killed and 8 were injured.
During the clash, CNA and CDF-KKG joint forces seized 4 MA3 rifles, 3 60mm mortars, 2 machine guns, 2 RPG launchers, and 0.5 machine guns and ammunition.

📌📌 8. PDF comrades systematically dismantled the M-14 landmines that the terrorist military had planted on the roads traveled by the civilian population
The People’s Defence Force (PDF) military headquarters announced on August 12 that the PDF comrades had systematically dismantled the M-14 landmines that the terrorist military had planted on civilian roads.
“On August 10, at approximately 7:49 a.m., the enemy junta troops of about 25-strong who came with a jumper car from Nat Yekan, Chaung-U Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Division, planted landmines near Ngar Shan Village, which is a place where civilians travel. The People’s Defense Forces systematically dismantled the M-14 landmines that the enemy had planted so that the public was not harmed.”
M-14 landmines are made of plastic, even the body, with low metal content. So it is difficult to find easily. These landmines can cause a small explosion up to about 10 inches above the ground when stepped on, causing the victim to lose body parts.
Junta’s mines are a type of landmine manufactured with the intention of incapacitating limbs, so the public is warned to take special care to avoid the dangers of landmines.

On August 12, the Dawei Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC) informed that they conducted an educational campaign by going to some grocery shops to prevent the purchase, use, and sale of 8 military products such as liquor, beer, soft drinks, and cigarettes in Thayetchaung Township, Dawei District.
This campaign is said to have been carried out by members of the Thayetchaung Township Democracy Movement Strike Committee, a member force of the Dawei Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC).
