📌📌 1. The 27th Forum 2000 Conference being held in the Czech Republic was attended by NUG Union Ministers and representative to the Czech Republic
The 27th Forum 2000 Conference being held in Prague, Czech Republic, was attended by Union Ministers of the National Unity Government and representative to the Czech Republic.
The conference, which is being held under the title “For a Democratic World Order”, was attended by Union Minister of Foreign Affairs Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister of Human Rights U Aung Myo Min, and representative to the Czech Republic U Lin Thant.
During the forum program, representatives of ethnic organizations will participate in the discussion on the topic “Myanmar’s Overlooked Struggle” along with the two Union Ministers.
In addition, Human Rights Minister U Aung Myo Min announced through his social media page that private meetings are being held with government representatives attending the forum.

📌📌 2. The Ministry of Commerce will conduct a Development Economics Program course for CDM students and CDM employees
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Commerce will hold a Development Economics Program course aimed at CDM students and CDM employees.
As part of the Ministry’s processes, the Myanmar Institute of Economy, Commerce and Industry is implementing human resource development programs. The ministry has announced that the “Development Economics Program” course will be opened on October 21 and 22 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
CDM students and CDM employees who are interested in the “Development Economics Program” are also invited to participate.
The course application form can be obtained from the link provided on the social network page of the Ministry of Commerce.
The application will be closed on the night of October 19, and access to the course will be replied to via email on October 20.

📌📌 3. The Deputy Minister for NUG Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Management visited the frontline camps in southern Chin State and handed over aid money
The team led by the Deputy Minister of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government, Dr. Ngai Tam Maung, met with the people in charge of frontline camps and local residents in southern Chin State and handed over the grants.
During this meeting, the team observed the damage conditions of the civilian roads due to landslides during the rainy season, and it is reported that the Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Management has provided 2,000,000 Kyats for the repair of the roads.
In addition, the Deputy Minister also met with local leaders from various townships and discussed the situation of the revolution in Chin State, the situation in which the National Unity Government is making efforts for the revolution, and the needs of the ground conditions observed during the trip.

📌📌 4. Three ABSDF comrades, including Comrade Myo Win, who attended the 8th anniversary of NCA, were dismissed from duty
The Central Committee of the ABSDF announced today that three members of the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front – ABSDF, who attended the 8th anniversary of the signing of the NCA by the Military Council, were terminated from their political and military duties.
Central Committee member Comrade Sunny confirmed that the three people were ABSDF Vice President Comrade Myo Win, Division Commander Comrade Min Zaw and Comrade Saw Maung Maung Oo.
According to the ABSDF Central Committee’s emergency meeting decision today, they have been stripped of their political and military duties and warned not to continue to act against the group’s positions.
Founded in 1988, ABSDF participated in the signing of the NCA in 2015. On October 12, three groups of EROs such as ABSDF, CNF, and KNU issued a joint statement that the NCA contract was nullified due to the military council and that they would not attend the NCA 8th anniversary ceremony.

📌📌 5. A photojournalist who bravely filmed the Karenni battle won the Bayeux Prize for War Correspondents
British-Italian freelance photojournalist Siegfried Modola, who covered the war during the heavy fighting between the military council and the revolutionary forces in Karenni State, has been awarded the Bayeux Prize for War Correspondents.
“Photographer Siegfried Modola wins the Nikon Prize for this photo depicting Karenni soldiers taking refuge in a drainage ditch as a mortar shell explodes nearby during violent clashes on April 16 in the village of Daw Nyay Khu in the state of Kayah,” the French Embassy in Myanmar said.
Mr. Modola, an award-winning journalist, secretly entered Myanmar in September 2022 and accompanied the Karenni defense forces to the front lines and took these photos, according to Canada’s Globe and Mail, which featured his photo essay.
France’s famous Bayeux Prize for War Correspondents has been won by photographers who have reported on conflicts in Haiti, Myanmar, the Middle East and Ukraine.

📌📌 6. A Dawei woman was sentenced to more than 40 years in prison by the terrorist military council
A woman from Dawei was reportedly sentenced to more than 40 years in prison by the Dawei District Court under the military council.
According to people close to the prison, the 34-year-old Ma Yin Yin Cho, who was sentenced to prison, was charged under 5 Sections relating to terrorism by the Dawei District Court.
She was sentenced to 22 years in prison for two cases of Article 50 (j) of financing a terrorist group, 10 years for Articles 51 and 52 related to terrorism with explosive materials, and financial support to terrorists, and 12 years for Article 54 of intention to kill or cause grievous hurt to the victim, for a total of 44 years.
According to people working on prisoner affairs, there are around 60 women in Dawei prison. Almost all of those were sentenced to less than 15 years in prison, so Ma Yin Yin Cho is the person who received the most imprisonment.
Among the male political prisoners in Dawei prison, there are 2 who have been sentenced to life imprisonment and 2 who have been sentenced to over 40 years in prison.
Ko Thet Zaw Win, who was arrested along with Ma Yin Yin Cho in January of this year, was also sentenced to 22 years in prison for 3 Sections under terrorism.
In Tanintharyi, Dawei Prison has the largest number of political prisoners, and out of a total of over one thousand inmates, about half are political prisoners.

📌📌 7. Terrorist military council bombed the KIA Brigade 9 area with 2 jet fighters, causing casualties
According to Kachin News Group, the terrorist military council’s 2 jet fighters came and fired into the area controlled by Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Brigade 9 in the upper part of Kansi region, Hpakant, Kachin State.
“On October 16, at around 4:00 p.m., 2 jet fighters came and opened fire, and there may have been casualties,” a person close to the KIA said.
Since the coup d’état, there has been military tension between the terrorist military troops and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDF in Hpakant, and there are almost daily clashes.
On the night of October 23, 2022, the military council attacked the A Nant Pa area controlled by Brigade 9 of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), killing more than 30 civilians.

📌📌 8. 3 junta soldiers were killed by a mine attack on the column invading Saing Naing Gyi Village in Wetlet Township
The Shwebo District Battalion-23 informed that three junta soldiers were killed in a land mine attack on a terrorist military council column that came out from Saing Naing Lay Village towards Saing Naing Gyi Village in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Division.
“On October 15, at past 8:00 a.m., we were waiting for the terrorist military council column that came out from Saing Naing Lay Village towards Sai Nai Gyi Village. When they were crossing the minefields, we exploded 5-set landmines at 2-point, causing 3 front junta soldiers to be blown away and die. 5 other soldiers were also seriously injured in this mine attack,” the Shwebo District Battalion-23 informed.
According to subsequent reports, it is known that at least 10 soldiers may have been killed due to a collective attack by allied forces, but it is currently under investigation to confirm.
This attack was carried out by Shwebo District Battalion-23 Buffalo Soldier, Dragon King Guerrilla Force, Revolution Soldier and local PaKaFa Forces.
On October 14, Shwebo District Battalion-23, together with the regional defense forces, attacked the military council force hiding in a bunker in Shwebo Palace with grenades, killing 2 junta soldiers and injuring at least 6 others.

📌📌 9. A battle broke out with the revolutionary joint forces in Kyaikto Township, 5 members of the military council were killed, and 8 members of the joint forces were injured
According to the KNLA Joint Force, 5 members of the military council were killed and 2 were injured in a clash between the revolutionary forces and the terrorist military council troops in Kyaikto Township, Mon State.
On October 13, at about 1:30 p.m., an encounter took place between the military council column that invaded the area of Kyaik Htee Yoe Lay intersection in Kyaikto Township and the KNLA, PDF, Seven Raven Column, and Kyaikhto Revolution Force (KRF) joint forces.
“There was an encounter with a terrorist military council column that invaded the area of Kyaik Htee Yoe Lay. About 5 junta soldiers were killed and some were injured,” said a comrade from the joint force.
In the battle, there were casualties on the side of the military council, and 8 members of the joint revolutionary forces were injured, 2 of whom were seriously injured but not critical.
There are frequent skirmishes between the two forces in Kyaikto Township, and there are frequent injuries to civilians due to explosions of heavy weapons and the danger of landmines.
In addition, during these months, the military council troops have been firing heavy weapons into the villages of Kyaikto Township every day, causing local people to worry about their livelihoods and lives.
