1. Acting President urges overseas government members to consolidate forces domestically

Acting President Duwa Lashi La emphasized the importance of government members abroad consolidating their efforts domestically during the 28/2024 National Unity Government (NUG) meeting on November 26.
"Our NUG government cannot operate as a government in exile. We must build our strength on the ground. I strongly urge all government members to focus their efforts domestically to consolidate our forces. Enough time has been spent engaging with the international community; it's now crucial to concentrate on building ground forces. I encourage you to gather the dispersed light into one beam to plant a new spark of hope," said the Acting President.
He also highlighted the need for transformative changes to benefit the nation and its people.
2. 2025 will be a year of significant transformation for the revolution, says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than declared during the 28/2024 NUG meeting that 2025 would bring substantial changes for the revolution.
"With both military and political processes intensifying, our government must focus not only on our original responsibilities but also on integrating and aligning efforts in political negotiations critical for the revolution. 2025 will be a pivotal year for change. I urge all ministers to prioritize effective revolutionary strategies and actions," the Prime Minister stated.
The meeting also discussed updates from the Ministry of Education on field visits and gender equality policies presented by the Ministry of Women, Youth, and Children’s Affairs.
3. Myanmar should not be left behind in efforts to end violence against women and girls, says Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun

At a global meeting marking the 25th International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Myanmar's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, highlighted the rising violence against women and girls under Myanmar's military regime.
"The military coup in February 2021 has escalated violence against women and girls, reflecting a broader regression in women’s rights and gender equality. The international community must not overlook Myanmar in efforts to end violence against women and girls," the ambassador said.
He added that the NUG is launching a 16-day activism campaign to raise awareness and combat gender-based violence.
4. One in five married women in Myanmar experiences intimate partner violence, says WHO

According to a recent WHO report, one in five married women in Myanmar has experienced physical, sexual, or psychological violence by their intimate partner at some point in their lives.
"Globally, one in three women faces physical or sexual violence, mostly by their closest partners. In Myanmar, at least one in five married women experiences such violence," the report stated.
This year’s 16 Days of Activism theme is "No Excuses: Unite to End Violence Against Women and Girls."
5. Five detainees, including one female PDF member, escape from Ye Pya police station

At 2 a.m. on November 25, five detainees, including three from Battalion 16 in Pakokku district and one female PDF member, escaped from Ye Pya police station.
The detainees managed to remove their restraints and fled during a security lapse. They are now in a safe location, according to reports.
The escape followed months of planning and observation of the police’s movements.
6. Resistance fighters repair a bridge in Myaung Township

Resistance fighters in Myaung Township repaired a damaged bridge, easing travel difficulties for locals.
"We pooled resources and volunteered to fix the bridge as a community service. Thanks to the donors and intermediaries who supported this initiative," said Ko Nway Oo from the Myaung PDF.
The collaborative effort reflects the unity and determination among resistance forces.
7. Fight Delta Fight movie to premiere in Singapore on December 1

The revolutionary film Fight Delta Fight, showcasing the efforts of Ayeyarwady resistance fighters, will premiere on December 1 at Carnival Cinema in Singapore.
The movie aims to inspire solidarity through the creative contributions of young revolutionaries. A Movie Talk Show will also air on media platforms like Win Win Entertainment and D Day Channel at 7 p.m. Myanmar time.
