December 13
Two soldiers from Battalion 562 succumbed to their injuries at Ngathaingchaung Hospital in Ayeyarwady Region after sustaining wounds during battles near Gwa in Rakhine State, according to a local source from Pathein Special News Unit.
On December 11, injured soldiers were transported to the hospital in Ngathaingchaung Township by two large military trucks, two ambulances, a smaller military vehicle, and a civilian car. ๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Chemical Gas Usage Confirmed in Junta Drone Strikes:
On December 13, the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) issued a warning about the junta’s use of chemical agents during drone strikes in areas near the border of Kayah (Karenni) State and Shan State. Civilians were urged to take shelter in safe locations.
During drone strikes on December 7 and 8, the junta’s Battalion 422, based near Moebye, deployed drones equipped with chemical gas canisters marked “S-PHOS 560.” The chemical attacks caused symptoms among some resistance fighters, including dizziness, nausea, lethargy, and headaches, despite no direct casualties from the strikes.
KNDF confirmed the use of chemical weapons after inspecting bomb remnants in affected areas. Civilians were advised to avoid sites of drone activity and refrain from handling unexploded ordnance.
Fighting continues along key routes, such as the Loikaw-Moebye-Fer Khone highway, with junta forces relying heavily on drone support. Resistance groups called for heightened vigilance, given the increasing use of chemical agents by the military.
