๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 4. Public Assistance for Temporary Residence and Work Permits (Pink Cards) for CDM Soldiers and Police

December 15
Radio NUG

The People's Spring Committee has been actively assisting CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) soldiers and police officers who have joined the pro-democracy movement in securing temporary residence and work permits (Pink Cards) in Thailand.

To ease the challenges faced by CDM members, particularly regarding strict residency regulations in Thailand, the committee has been supporting application costs. In October 2024, applications were called for, and due to limited funding, priority was given to over 100 applicants who remain active in the Spring Revolution, are family heads, and currently unemployed.

In November, the first batch of support was provided to 38 individuals, enabling them to apply for the Pink Cards. Moving forward, the committee will cover basic costs for new applications, while applicants will need to complete the process themselves.

For those who do not qualify for the permits, additional support, such as basic needs and security, is being provided. The Thai government has approved labor registration for undocumented workers, and the Pink Card application process will officially open on December 16, 2024.
