๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. A Military Junta Soldier Killed in Landmine Attacks in Chaung-U Township and Along the Monywa-Mandalay Road

The Chaung-U Township People's Defense Force (CHU-PDF) reported that a military junta soldier was killed and several others were injured in two separate landmine attacks on December 25. The incidents involved junta troops patrolling within Chaung-U Township and another group stationed along the Monywa-Mandalay highway.
One attack occurred around 10:00 AM near the Monywa tollgate on the Monywa-Mandalay road, targeting two junta soldiers stationed in ambush. One soldier was killed in this attack.
The second incident took place on the evening of December 24, at 6:48 PM. Ten soldiers from the Chaung-U Township police station, who were patrolling the town, were targeted with landmines by CHU-PDF forces. Of these, eight sustained critical injuries, with most expected to succumb to their injuries, according to reports. The attack was carried out at a location within the township where the junta forces frequently patrol.
The CHU-PDF also stated that video documentation of both operations is available, and further updates will be released as needed. The group emphasized that their revolutionary efforts prioritize minimizing harm to civilians and their members.
On December 17, the CHU-PDF and its allied forces had carried out a landmine attack on a three-story building along the Monywa-Mandalay highway, which was being used as a base by pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militia members. This attack killed three militiamen and injured seven others.

The Pauk Kaung Township People's Defense Force (PPDF) Battalion 3601 announced the execution of an individual accused of providing information to the junta. The incident took place on December 24, at 4:30 PM, in Nat Ta Lin Village, Kin Mun Khyun Group, Pauk Kaung Township.
The individual, identified as Khin Soe, was accused of collaborating with junta forces by assisting in forced recruitment campaigns. He was said to have coerced young people into joining the military, including minors, in exchange for bribes. Additionally, Khin Soe allegedly gathered intelligence on revolutionary forces for the junta. The PPDF stated that these actions justified his execution.
The PPDF also warned civilians not to collaborate with junta forces, including soldiers, administrative officials, village heads, or informants, as they are actively targeting such individuals.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Armed Robbery Reported in 7-Mile Village, Mogok Township

An armed robbery occurred on December 19 in 7-Mile Village, Mogok Township, in the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)-controlled area. According to local sources and a report from the PSLF/TNLA, two men armed with pistols raided a house and stole valuable items.
The suspects, one dressed in military-style clothing and the other in civilian attire, stole 20 gold ticals, five diamond rings, two jade stones, a chay flower-shaped earring, a gold-framed earring, a gemstone ring, a bundle of gemstones, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle from the residence of U Jet Gat Bahadu.
The PSLF/TNLA is investigating the suspects and their potential affiliation with any specific military unit. The organization has stated that its law enforcement branch is working to apprehend the perpetrators.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Two Junta Soldiers Defect With Weapons in Ann Township
December 25:
Two junta soldiers defected with their weapons to the People's Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 4 in Thayet District, Magway Region. The defectors, who belonged to the Western Command's Security Unit in Ann Township, Rakhine State, surrendered on December 23.
The soldiers, including a sergeant and a private, handed over an MA3 rifle, a pistol, a grenade, and ammunition. The PDF reported that they were safely received and provided with medical care. The defectors will also be granted appropriate rewards for their decision.
The PDF emphasized that it welcomes all junta soldiers who wish to defect, promising them safety and support. This comes amidst reports of widespread defections within the junta forces as their military operations continue to falter. The PDF also referenced potential arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, encouraging further defections.
