Families displaced for an extended period in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, were provided with food and household items worth 2.5 million kyats, according to an announcement from the Sagaing People’s Support Network.

The Sagaing People’s Support Network reportedly raised 2.5 million kyats in donations to extend humanitarian assistance to those displaced in Kanbalu Township. The funds were used by the local coordinating group, Clover for Heroes, to distribute items to over 60 households. Each household received items worth 40,000 kyats, including blankets, mosquito nets, water containers, and packets of instant noodles.

The Sagaing People’s Support Network emphasized that such humanitarian support for displaced individuals is made possible by contributions from individual donors. The organization also reiterated its commitment to assisting displaced families across Sagaing Region.

They urged those interested in providing effective aid to areas in genuine need to collaborate with the Sagaing People’s Support Network, which will ensure that the support reaches affected individuals on the ground.

The Sagaing People’s Support Network is a community-based organization dedicated to assisting displaced populations in Sagaing Region. It provides healthcare, supplies educational materials to students, and addresses other essential needs of those affected by conflict.

The Dark Shadow Urban Guerrilla Unit claimed that it carried out 60 missions during the three-year Spring Revolution period. This announcement was made on December 28, marking the third anniversary of the unit’s urban revolutionary efforts.

The missions reportedly targeted military, administrative, and economic facilities in urban areas. Despite numerous challenges during the three years, the group disclosed that some of its members were arrested, lost limbs, or sacrificed their lives.

The Dark Shadow-UG unit stated that its members remain stationed across urban areas and are actively preparing to continue operations in collaboration with remaining comrades.

The group also emphasized its unwavering presence among urban civilians and pledged to persist in the revolution until the dictatorship is entirely eradicated.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. Two Police Officers from Bawlakhe Police Station Defect with Weapons and Ammunition

Two police officers from Bawlakhe Police Station defected with weapons and ammunition, according to the Bawlakhe People’s Defense Force (BPDF).

The defectors, including a senior police officer and a sergeant, reportedly switched sides during December. The senior officer defected with an AK-M22 rifle, three magazines, and 60 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition. Meanwhile, the sergeant defected with four G3 magazines and 400 rounds of 7.62 mm G3 ammunition on December 18.

The BPDF stated that the defectors were transported to a secure liberated area. They also announced that military and police personnel wishing to defect and join the people’s side could contact the BPDF for assistance and protection.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 4. Two Deserting Soldiers from North-Western Military Command Handed Over to Monywa-PDF

Two soldiers who deserted from the North-Western Military Command, based in Monywa, Sagaing Region, were apprehended and handed over to the Monywa People’s Defense Force (PDF), according to a statement from the Chaung-U PDF Combat Unit released on December 29.

The soldiers reportedly fled on December 26 and were intercepted by the Chaung-U PDF Combat Unit-1, Special Force 11 LPDF, and Deadly Strike LPDF during ongoing military operations.

The soldiers, along with a mobile phone, were handed over in good health to the local Monywa PDF. The deserters also brought with them an MA-5 pistol, nine rounds of 9 mm ammunition, one .380 round, and a pistol case, which were secured by the joint forces.

Frequent clashes occur between military troops and revolutionary forces in Chaung-U Township, where incidents of arrests and defections are regularly reported, according to local resistance groups.
