The junta forces carried out two airstrikes on Takoo Village Tract, Tanintharyi Township, Myeik District, despite no active combat in the area, according to a report from Myeik District People’s Defense Joint Forces (1).
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 13, two bombs were dropped, followed by three more bombs at around 9:45 a.m.
The airstrikes injured three civilian women in Takoo Village and caused two homes to be destroyed by fire.
Due to the junta's continued airstrikes on civilian villages, the local population has been advised to remain vigilant and take extra precautions for their safety.

On January 13, at approximately 10:30 a.m., junta forces conducted airstrikes and machine-gun fire in and around Sankha Village, Lonkin Group, Phakant Township, according to a statement from the Anti-Junta People’s Network in Phakant Township.
The airstrikes resulted in the deaths of eight civilians, including six men and two women, with at least seven others injured.

🚩🚩 4. Ten Junta Soldiers Killed in Ambush on a Supply Convoy Near Wanmelan Camp, Bawlakhe District
On January 12, a supply convoy of approximately 30 junta soldiers heading to Wanmelan Camp Hill in Bawlakhe District, Kayah State, was ambushed by joint forces from the Bawlakhe People's Defense Force and allied groups, according to reports.
During the ambush, at least 10 junta soldiers were killed. The joint forces seized four small firearms and other military equipment, and successfully retreated without any casualties on their side.

In Taungtha, Mandalay Region, six junta-controlled locations, including Basic Education High School No. 1, were attacked by resistance forces on January 13, according to Battalion (3) of Myingyan District.
At around 12:15 p.m., 21 junta soldiers stationed at the school were ambushed by Battalion (3) forces. During the operation, the resistance forces safely evacuated students from the school and successfully overran the location. Ten junta soldiers were confirmed killed, and several others fled over the compound walls.
Following the operation, the resistance forces lowered the junta's flags and raised the Battalion (3) and allied flags in the school compound.
After securing the area, resistance forces entered the town, targeting junta personnel stationed at several locations, including government buildings, a local checkpoint, and a motorcycle repair shop owned by pro-junta figures.
While the total impact on junta forces from these attacks has not yet been confirmed, the junta responded with airstrikes, forcing resistance forces to retreat to minimize civilian harm.

On January 2, one police officer from Saw Township Police Station surrendered to Battalion 2 in Gangaw District with a G3 rifle, 50 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and two magazines.
On January 6, five members of a junta convoy from Saw Township Police Station defected to Gangaw Battalions 3 and 5 with an MA-1 rifle, an MA-4 rifle, 432 rounds of ammunition, nine magazines, and three grenades.
On January 7, 16 junta troops from Lagunbyo Camp in Bilin Township defected to the Resistance Coalition with weapons, including one 80mm mortar, one 60mm mortar, a sniper rifle, and seven MA-1 rifles.
On January 9, one police officer from Saw Township Police Station defected to Gangaw District Battalion 3 with a G3 rifle, 319 rounds of ammunition, four grenades, and two magazines.
On the same day, two junta soldiers from BPI Livestock Camp in Pakokku District surrendered to Battalion 8 with two MA-1 rifles, one Enaga grenade, two nanat grenades, 166 rounds of ammunition, and ten magazines.
On January 10, two members of Battalion 13 stationed in Shwemakhar Village, Wetlet Township, defected to Shwebo District Battalion 2 with two MA-1 rifles and 460 rounds of ammunition.
On January 11, two conscripts from the 12th Army Advanced Training School Weekly Batch 5, deployed to Battalion 559, defected to Southern Regional Command's Strategic Battalion 33. They brought an MA-1 rifle, an MA-3 rifle, 175 rounds of ammunition, six magazines, and one grenade.
