๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Attack on Deputy Commander-in-Chief Soe Win's Team with 107mm Short-Range Rockets in Loikaw

The Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM) announced today that Deputy Commander-in-Chief Soe Win and his team were attacked with 107mm short-range rockets while attending the 73rd Kayah State Day ceremony in Loikaw, Kayah State.
According to BWM, the attack was carried out collaboratively by the Mountain Knight Civilian Defense Forces (MKCDF) and the Anti-Coup People’s Liberation Force (ACPLF) under BWM’s leadership. The operation took place on January 14 at around 7:00 PM.
Five 107mm rockets targeted the hall in Kayah State where Soe Win was dining, while two additional rockets were fired at the Loikaw Regional Military Headquarters (Loikaw Command Center), where junta troops were stationed.
Out of the seven rockets launched, six hit their targets successfully, causing damage and casualties on the military junta's side, though the extent of the losses remains unknown.
The resistance forces faced challenges during the mission but managed to withdraw safely to secure locations after the operation.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Junta Troops Attacked in Salin Township, Resulting in Casualties and Injuries to Civilians

In Salin Township, Magway Region, resistance forces attacked junta troops who were conducting military operations over two consecutive days. The junta forces sustained significant casualties. However, junta shelling injured a monk and two civilians, according to the Bamar Army.
On January 10, at around 6:00 AM, junta forces, reinforced with two trucks and two Dyna vehicles, marched on foot from Salin town toward the north.
On the same day, at around 1:00 PM, clashes occurred between junta forces and resistance fighters. Shells fired by the junta exploded in Htantawgyi Village, severely injuring a woman who lost one arm and wounding a man. Additionally, shelling struck a monastery in Anaukshae Village, injuring a monk.
The junta also shelled Kyunzu Village with RPGs and 60mm mortar rounds but caused no casualties.
On January 11, junta forces, consisting of over 100 troops, launched another operation toward resistance-controlled areas, splitting into two groups—one along the railway and the other from Tharyatchin Village. At around 10:00 AM, the Bamar Army’s 707th Battalion, in collaboration with the Daung Sit Aung LPDF, engaged junta troops in a clash lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Despite their use of machine guns, RPGs, and small arms, junta forces suffered casualties and were forced to withdraw. The resistance fighters also retreated safely due to being outnumbered.
Tensions remain high in Salin Township, with frequent clashes occurring. The Bamar Army has urged civilians to remain vigilant and follow resistance forces’ guidance to avoid harm from junta artillery and drones.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Remote Mine Attack on Taikkyant Police Station Injures Two Soldiers

In Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region, two soldiers were injured in a remote mine attack on the Taikkyant Police Station, according to the Operation Flame group.
The urban resistance group under Operation Flame carried out the attack on January 14 at around 6:30 PM using two remote-controlled mines.
Further assessments on damage within the police station are ongoing, and Operation Flame has stated its commitment to intensify its campaign against junta forces in collaboration with Yangon-based revolutionary alliances.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Junta Soldier Captured Alive with Ammunition on Monywa-Ayataw Road

In Sagaing Region, along the Monywa-Ayataw road, a junta soldier was captured alive along with ammunition by resistance forces, according to the Snipe Rangers Force - Local PDF.
The incident occurred on the evening of January 14, when resistance fighters, dressed in PDF uniforms, detained one junta soldier stationed with ten others at a security post.
The captured soldier was identified as Tin San Myint from BE Battalion under the 909th Infantry Regiment, a unit that has faced resistance defections since May 2021.
The soldier was captured with two MA-1 magazines, forty 5.56mm bullets, one M9 bayonet, and one uniform. Nine other junta soldiers managed to escape.
The Monywa-Ayataw area remains highly volatile, with ongoing clashes and artillery fire between resistance forces and junta troops.
