Fierce fighting between the military junta and the People's Defense Forces (PDF) is ongoing at a location near the Shan-Kayah border, according to a statement released on January 22 by the MOBYE PDF Rescue Team (MPRT).
The MOBYE PDF Rescue Team has reported an urgent need for medical supplies and fuel.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. on January 22, the military junta dropped four bombs weighing 500 pounds near the vicinity of Lwai Wine Village, located in Mobye Town.
The junta forces launched a large-scale offensive from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 422 stationed in Mobye, but they are being met with resistance from revolutionary forces.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Monk Killed Amid Junta's Brutality in Hpa Pun Township

According to a report by the Karen National Union (KNU), a monk was killed, and another monk along with one civilian was injured due to the brutal actions of the junta in Sawhti Township, Hpa Pun District, an area under the administrative control of the Kawthoolei region.
On January 21, at around 3:00 p.m., junta forces stationed at a monastery in Yekyi Chaung Village indiscriminately fired artillery and launched drone attacks. The attacks hit remote monasteries in Mawphya and Kwin Dala Gyi Villages.
During the first drone strike, a 35-year-old civilian from Mawphya Village sustained injuries. A second attack killed a 50-year-old monk from Kwin Dala Gyi Monastery and injured another 49-year-old monk.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. the same day, artillery shelling by LIB 264, based in Pine Zalu, damaged several houses in the western part of Pyin Yae Village.
Additionally, in Mu Township, junta troops from Khoe Hla Lay Khoe Base entered Tayar Khoe Village on January 18 at around 6:00 a.m., capturing three civilians aged 18, 23, and 25, according to local reports.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Two Pro-Junta Pyu Saw Htee Members Killed in Mine Attack Near Sagaing

At around 8:30 a.m. on January 22, a convoy of SAC personnel transporting supplies to the Nyaung Hpyu Pin Police Outpost from Taw Pu Village in Monywa Township was ambushed with two landmines by Chaung U PDF, according to their statement.
Two Pyu Saw Htee members were killed, while five others were injured, including two who lost their legs. The convoy abandoned the supplies and retreated.
The attack site remains scattered with supplies left behind by the fleeing convoy. The operation was carried out jointly by the Chaung U PDF, Monywa District Battalion 23, Battalion 25, Battalion 28, BLDF, Special Force 11, and the Immortal Guerrilla Force.

Since January 21, renewed clashes have been reported between the Mandalay People's Defense Forces (PDF) and junta troops, according to a statement from the Mandalay PDF.
The junta forces launched artillery and ground assaults in Myit Thar Township, intensifying clashes near Hpayoung Taung, Htan Pin Kone, and Myo Kone Villages.
In addition, skirmishes were reported near Thambo Village in Naung Cho Township and Seven-Mile Village in Thabeikkyin Township, where the Mandalay PDF and junta forces engaged in fierce fighting.
On January 21 and 22, the junta launched airstrikes targeting residential areas in Naung Cho Township, resulting in numerous civilian casualties.

The Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) has successfully conducted the first practical battlefield test of the "Federal Shield," an anti-drone jammer developed by Federal Wings. The system successfully neutralized enemy drone attacks, according to a January 22 statement by Federal Wings.
The "Federal Shield" is the product of extensive efforts by the Research & Development unit of Federal Wings. Plans are underway to distribute the jammer to other revolutionary forces in need, demonstrating a continued commitment to supporting the resistance.

The event was held at a frontline location, according to an announcement by the Yangon Regional Military Command.
Senior officers from the Yangon Regional Military Command attended the ceremony, where they delivered speeches encouraging the graduates to uphold military discipline, demonstrate excellent combat readiness, and embody the qualities of exemplary soldiers who bring pride to the people by maintaining obedience to orders. The ceremony also included oaths of allegiance and other related proceedings.
Awards were presented to outstanding trainees who had shown exceptional discipline throughout the training period, as stated in the announcement.

In Sagaing Region, near Sagaing Township, a convoy from the SAC’s 33rd Division transporting copper to Monywa was attacked with landmines along the Chaung Oo-Myinmu Road. The Lightning Strike Battalion released this information.
The attack occurred on January 22 at around 10:50 a.m. The convoy, consisting of 50 trucks and escorted by 8 security vehicles, was ambushed with pre-positioned landmines.
The SAC forces reportedly retaliated with a drone and heavy and small weapons. However, allied revolutionary forces were able to withdraw without casualties, according to the report.
The attack was a collaborative effort involving the Lightning Strike Battalion, Eleven People Defense Force, Bo Naing Lay Pway Tornado People’s Defense Force, Royal Tiger Force (Salingyi), and Nway Oo Brothers Column.

In Salingyi Township, Yinmabin District, Sagaing Region, SAC military bases and an administrative office were bombed on consecutive days, according to a statement from the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force.
The first attack occurred on January 21 at around 4:35 p.m., executed by the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force (Salingyi), Yinmabin District Battalion 35, Company 3, Taung Pan Ni Special Guerilla Unit (Salingyi), and SOLO AUNG GYI (Salingyi) using fixed-wing drones.
A second attack followed on January 22 at around 7:10 a.m. This operation also involved the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force (Salingyi), Yinmabin District Battalion 35, Company 3, Taung Pan Ni Special Guerilla Unit (Salingyi), Yinmabin District Battalion 35, Company 3, Subunit 1, 5/Fighter Group (Monywa), and SOLO AUNG GYI (Salingyi), utilizing fixed-wing drones again.
The attacks reportedly inflicted damage on the SAC forces, with further details under investigation.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 9. SAC Airstrikes Kill 8 Civilians in Naung Cho Township

At 11:24 a.m. on January 22, SAC forces launched two bombs from a fighter jet targeting the area near a police station and Parami Teahouse in Naung Cho Township, located within the operational region of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)’s 2nd Brigade, according to TNLA reports.
The attack resulted in the deaths of 8 civilians, including 3 women and 5 men, with 1 person injured. Two homes and the police station were also damaged.
Following the airstrikes, members of PSLF/TNLA, local fire services, and residents provided medical assistance and rescue efforts for those affected.
On January 21, SAC forces had also dropped two bombs in Naung Cho without any ongoing battles, deliberately targeting civilians, as stated in the report.
