๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Excerpt from the Speech Delivered by Acting President Duwa Lashi La at the NUG 1/2025 Government Meeting
January 7
The following is a summary of the speech delivered by Acting President Duwa Lashi La at the 1/2025 government meeting of the National Unity Government (NUG):
As this is the first government meeting of the year 2025, I believe everyone is ready to move forward on the revolutionary journey with renewed spirit, vigor, and determination. Today, I would like to urge everyone to embrace 2025 as "The Year of Transformation" and to continue advancing with this mindset.
By "transformation," I refer not only to the changes in circumstances we will inevitably face but also to the changes we must make within ourselves. Reflecting on our strides in 2024, we should critically assess our progress and aim for even greater achievements in 2025. I urge all ministries to outline their respective plans and report transparently to the people.
The Ministry of Defense has already led the way by presenting its reports and upcoming initiatives to the public. I am pleased and proud of their proactive approach. Other ministries should similarly prioritize transparent communication with the public, ensuring strong and lasting connections between the government and the people.
Most importantly, I want to emphasize that 2025 should be the year in which we initiate significant reforms within ourselves as a government. However, these reforms must be effective and result-oriented, not merely cosmetic changes. Our ultimate goals—building a new federal democratic nation and dismantling the military dictatorship—remain unwavering.
Furthermore, we have seen reports of encounters between members of the Union Prime Minister’s office and frontline revolutionaries. Such direct engagements greatly inspire and uplift the spirits of those on the ground, strengthening the collective resolve of our revolutionary efforts.
