๐๐ 1. CRPH and NUG Send Messages for the 77th Chin National Day
February 20
For the 77th Chin National Day, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG) have sent official messages.
In its message, the CRPH emphasized the values embodied by the Hornbill, the national symbol of the Chin people—protection of the nation and ethnic identity, strong compassion and loyalty, and unity. It urged the Chin people to uphold these values as they continue striving for the eradication of all forms of military dictatorship in Myanmar.
The message also acknowledged that despite four years of the Spring Revolution, the unwavering determination, resilience, and hope of ethnic communities remain strong. It expressed confidence that the Federal Democratic Union is now within reach.
Meanwhile, the NUG's message extended its best wishes to all Chin national leaders, ethnic groups, civilians, and allied revolutionary forces in Chin State for a safe and peaceful Chin National Day, wishing them physical well-being and mental peace.
The NUG also recalled how, during the early days of the Spring Revolution, Chin national forces courageously defended the people against the junta’s violent crackdowns with their traditional tumee rifles, marking a historic moment in the resistance against military rule.
Furthermore, the NUG expressed hope that revolutionary organizations and leaders in Chin State would engage in open discussions and collaborate towards establishing a fully autonomous Chin State within a federal democratic system.

๐๐ 3. Junta’s Use of Suicide Drones Sparks Fear Among Civilians in Ethnic Areas
February 20
The junta’s military has begun deploying suicide drones in attacks, causing widespread fear among civilians in ethnic regions.
On January 31, 2025, the junta launched an airstrike using six suicide drones targeting a village in Ta U Khee village tract, Bilin Township, Doo Tha Htoo District. Of the six drones, three detonated, while the remaining three failed to explode.
One of the exploding drones landed inside the village monastery compound, while the other two hit a nearby farmland. Although no casualties were reported, villagers are now living in fear for their safety, with many avoiding sleeping in their homes at night, according to a February 20 report by KHRG.
Additionally, the junta’s military has been repeatedly targeting schools and religious buildings with aerial bombings and drone strikes, forcing villagers to keep their children from attending school due to safety concerns.

๐๐ 4. Junta Reinforces Troops and Supplies in Northern Gangaw’s Kin Yan Pyu Saw Htee Village
February 20
Following the capture of five locations—including Kyun Thar Village in southern Kale Township—by local resistance forces, the junta has been reinforcing its troops and supplies in Kin Yan Pyu Saw Htee Village, located in northern Gangaw Township, according to local reports.
On the night of February 19, between 12:00 AM and 1:30 AM, a Y-12 military transport aircraft from Tada-U Airbase dropped supplies, weapons, and ammunition by parachute over northern Kin Yan Village, where around 200 Pyu Saw Htee militia members were stationed to receive the deliveries, according to local sources.
On February 18, around noon, two Mi-17 transport helicopters from the Northwestern Regional Military Command in Monywa also delivered approximately 50 reinforcements, including newly recruited soldiers. Additionally, at least two paramotor gliders were deployed.
The junta's reinforcement efforts come in response to the recent successful offensives by local resistance groups, which have seized several Pyu Saw Htee-controlled villages in southern Kale Township.
The above reports were contributed by Min Thihan and Ko Khant from Radio NUG.
