Acting President Duwa Lashi La has called for enhanced strategic engagement with neighboring countries, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India. He made this statement during the National Unity Government's (NUG) 7/2025 Cabinet Meeting on February 25.
“We must view the regional geopolitical landscape realistically and proactively assess how we can leverage shifting political dynamics to benefit the people. We must seriously consider how to strengthen our strategic engagements with neighboring countries such as China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India,” the Acting President stated.
Furthermore, he emphasized the need to relentlessly confront the enemy while maintaining absolute honesty and integrity toward the people.

๐๐ 2. Prime Minister Declares 2025 a Year of Determined Effort to Achieve Significant Revolutionary Outcomes

Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann stated during the February 25 Cabinet Meeting that 2025 will be a year of unwavering struggle to achieve meaningful results and solutions for the revolution.
“As I have previously mentioned, 2025 will be a year of intense effort across all sectors—military, political, diplomatic, and administrative—to yield positive outcomes for the revolution. Accordingly, all government members must work in a more coordinated and determined manner. The revolution is not being led by a single individual or group alone. Likewise, our government operates under the principle of collective leadership, meaning that teamwork and unity are essential,” he emphasized.
The Prime Minister also stressed that, in addition to the daily responsibilities of relevant ministries, collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives must be pursued with collective strength and intelligence to ensure impactful progress.

๐๐ 3. Myanmar Spring University Announces List of Students Eligible for First Graduation Ceremony

Myanmar Spring University, which was established to ensure continued education for university students amid the revolution, has announced that its first graduation ceremony will be held on March 8, 2025, where degree certificates will be conferred.
The university has published the list of students who have successfully passed their final-year examinations in their respective disciplines and are eligible to attend the ceremony.
To obtain their degree certificates, students must complete the required information in the Registration Form by March 3, 2025, at midnight. Additional lists of eligible graduates are expected to be announced subsequently.

๐๐ 4. Myanmar Spring University to Accept Sixth Batch of Enrollment for Day Course Students

Myanmar Spring University has announced that it will be accepting the sixth batch of enrollments for students who were attending in-person courses before 2021 but could not complete their second semester, as well as students from distance learning programs.
Students are advised to carefully review the enrollment lists to verify whether their courses and majors are included and to check the specific enrollment period for their respective classes.
The enrollment process will be conducted through the MES system, and further details on the application format and procedures will be announced on the enrollment dates.
Additionally, the university has stated that efforts are underway to resume courses that have not yet been reopened.
Myanmar Spring University offers 40 subjects for in-person courses and 11 subjects for distance learning programs. Enrollment will be open from March 8 to April 13.

๐๐ 5. Over 17,000 Innocent Civilians Forced into Military Conscription or Arbitrarily Detained by the Junta and Armed Groups in One Year

The National Youth Congress (NYC) has reported that the military junta and certain armed groups have exploited the military conscription law to forcibly recruit over 17,000 innocent civilians or arbitrarily detain them over the past year. This finding is based on NYC’s monitoring and investigations, as stated in their February report.
According to NYC, such forced conscription of young people not only deprives them of their future educational and career opportunities but also causes psychological trauma and even loss of life.
The National Youth Congress has reaffirmed its commitment to documenting these human rights violations and taking further steps toward addressing and resolving these issues.

๐๐ 6. 28 Civilians, Including 6 Children, Killed by Junta Airstrikes in Kachin State

According to data collected by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), from January 1 to February 25, 2025, a total of 28 civilians—14 women and 14 men—have been confirmed killed in Kachin State due to attacks by the military junta. Among the casualties, six were children under the age of 18.
All of the victims lost their lives as a result of airstrikes carried out by the military junta.
On February 21, around 4:00 PM, junta forces conducted aerial bombing raids on villages in Mansi Township, Kachin State. As a result, two individuals from Mansa Village, identified as Ngwa Sar Lay and Yarma Si, were directly hit and killed by the bombings, while three others sustained injuries.
