Fierce clashes are ongoing in Moe Bye Township, located at the border between Shan State and Kayah State, with reports indicating the military junta is extensively utilizing airstrikes, according to local sources.
In their 60-day-long offensive to regain control of Moe Bye, the junta reportedly conducted the highest number of airstrikes on February 5. Sources involved in military affairs in Kayah State confirmed this information.
Fighting in Moe Bye escalated significantly on February 5 and continues to remain tense as of today, February 6, according to officials from the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF). Reports indicate that the junta used multiple aircraft, including Y-12s, fighter jets, and reconnaissance planes, to carry out numerous airstrikes.
Pro-junta sources have claimed that a combined Karenni force of approximately 1,200 troops is mounting a significant offensive against Moe Bye, with KNDF reportedly taking the lead in the attack.
The junta is aiming to secure control over the Moe Bye-Far Khone-Pin Laung route, leading to continuous clashes with revolutionary forces since November 2024. Records from military sources suggest heavy casualties on the junta's side due to the resistance mounted by revolutionary forces.

An aerial bombing by the military targeted the Thapyay Yae Taung Pagoda in Naung Cho Township, northern Shan State, this morning, resulting in the destruction of temple structures, according to local sources.
The site, a religious landmark with no military presence from the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), was bombed by the military, causing damage to the temple and its stupas.
The TNLA has preliminarily reported that the junta’s air force conducted the strike using fighter jets at around 10:20 AM on February 6. However, no further detailed information has been released as of 12 PM today.
Despite no active clashes in the Ta’ang region, the junta has been deliberately targeting civilians with airstrikes, the TNLA statement emphasized.

In Nam Sai Village, Kutkai Township, under the jurisdiction of the Ta’ang Army Division 5, four children triggered a handmade landmine on February 2 at around 11:30 AM while fishing in a stream. The incident resulted in two deaths and injuries to the other two, the PSLF/TNLA Information and Communications Department reported.
The deceased children were identified as 4-year-old Lwei Ae Nwe and 5-year-old Mine A Nyein, while the injured were 9-year-old Mine Tun Aung and 8-year-old Mine A Nyout La, who were sent to the hospital for treatment.
A similar incident occurred on October 3 last year when a man from Lwai Sai Village, also in Kutkai Township, lost one of his legs after stepping on a buried landmine while searching for buffaloes, according to PSLF/TNLA records.

Additionally, residents, including former military personnel, non-CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) staff, and local administrative officials, have been advised not to assist or facilitate the military council's operations in Bawlakhe Township.

Federal Wings reiterated its strict policy to operate within ethical and just frameworks while supporting revolutionary activities. It also addressed concerns from critics who perceive it as a rival entity opposing the NUG, stating that an understanding of its structure should provide clarity.
Despite criticisms, Federal Wings and its allied units continue to fight for liberation in their respective territories.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Five Soldiers Killed and Many Injured in Attack on Military Checkpoint on Thanbyuzayat-Ye Road

The NMSP-AD (New Mon State Party Anti-Dictatorship) forces reported that five junta soldiers were killed and many others injured during an attack on a military checkpoint near a bridge between Kwan Du and Hninsone villages on the Thanbyuzayat-Ye road in Ye Township, Mon State.
The checkpoint, manned by approximately 40 junta troops, was attacked by revolutionary forces at around 6:00 a.m. on February 5, leading to a battle that lasted about an hour.
During the clash, one NMSP-AD member sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Following the confrontation, junta forces from the Kha Ma Ya 343 and Kha Ma Ya 587 battalions, based at Ayu Taung, responded by launching heavy artillery shelling.
