๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. NUG Vows to Take All Possible Actions to Hold Perpetrators Accountable for the Aerial Attack on Let Pan Hla Village

The National Unity Government (NUG) has issued a statement declaring its commitment to taking all possible measures to hold the perpetrators accountable for the airstrike on Let Pan Hla Village in Singu Township, Mandalay Region.

According to the statement from the NUG’s Ministry of Human Rights, the attack by the military junta resulted in the deaths of 27 civilians, including six children, and left 38 others injured. The ministry affirmed its determination to ensure accountability for these atrocities.

The airstrike occurred on March 14 at approximately 3:00 PM when the military carried out an aerial bombardment on Let Pan Hla Village, located along the Myingyan-Mandalay Highway, despite the absence of any ongoing clashes in the area. The attack resulted in civilian casualties and the destruction of properties.

The statement further revealed that a YAK-130 jet fighter from the No. 3027 Air Defense Battalion, based in Tada-U Air Base, dropped two incendiary bombs on the village. The airstrike took place while locals and travelers were passing through the area, resulting in the deaths of 27 civilians, including a four-month-old infant, and injuries to 38 others. Additionally, two civilian houses were burned down.

The NUG’s Ministry of Human Rights reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and peace, emphasizing that it will take all necessary steps to hold the terrorist military regime accountable for its crimes.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 2. Over $50,000 Raised at Fundraising Event with Ko Htein Lin, Son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, in New York

A fundraising event held in New York, featuring Ko Htein Lin, the son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, successfully raised over $52,000, according to attendees.

Ko Htein Lin, also known as Kim Aris, who is currently in the United States for the Suu 80th Birthday Campaign, met with Burmese families in New York on March 15. The event was attended by Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, U Kyaw Moe Tun; Minister for Women, Youth, and Children’s Affairs Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe; and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s economic advisor, Dr. Sean Turnell.

Nearly 1,000 people participated, including Burmese families from New York and neighboring cities, as well as members of pro-democracy support groups.

During the event, a portrait painting of Kim Aris was auctioned for $8,888, while the Suu 80th Birthday Calendar was sold for $5,500. Sales of Suu 80th Birthday Postcards and other humanitarian fundraising efforts contributed to the total amount raised, which exceeded $52,000.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. Woman Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Mogok

A female drug dealer was arrested in Mogok by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) under the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF), according to a statement from the TNLA's Information and Public Relations Department.

Based on a tip-off, TNLA’s police force conducted a raid on March 12 at the woman’s residence in Mogok, where they found a stash of drugs.

The arrested individual has been identified as 63-year-old Daw May Ru, a resident of Thaya Kone Ward in Sha Li Wai village tract, Mogok. Authorities seized four soap boxes containing heroin and 14 small bottles of drugs during the operation.

Investigations revealed that she had been involved in drug trafficking for the past two months. TNLA authorities stated that she would be prosecuted under drug-related laws.

Additionally, on March 6, TNLA’s patrol team apprehended two male drug dealers in Shwe Gu Ward, Mogok. On the same day, in Moe Meik Township, authorities seized stimulant tablets and heroin worth approximately 70 million kyats.
