๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. Formation of a Joint Force Comprising Six Revolutionary Units in Salin to Combat the Common Enemy, the Military Council

March 1

Six revolutionary forces based in Salin Township, Magway Region, have formed a joint force with the aim of completely eradicating the common enemy—the Military Council, according to a statement by Bamar Army, one of the participating groups.

A meeting was held on February 27, during which local battalions and People’s Defense Forces (Local PDFs) from Salin Township signed a 13-point Ground Alliance Common Agreement to solidify their cooperation.

The newly formed joint force consists of the following groups:

Minbu District Battalion No. 1

Minbu District Battalion No. 5

Bamar Army Battalion No. 707

SALIN – LPDF

Daung Sit Aung – LPDF

Daung Nyi Naung Urban Guerrilla Force

The agreement stipulates that no group shall engage in any actions or rhetoric that could cause division or disrupt unity among revolutionary forces. All member groups must respect each other's military and political policies, rules, and regulations while jointly fighting to eliminate the terrorist Military Council as a united force.

Additionally, each member of the joint force must maintain mutual respect and discipline. In case of any internal disputes, resolutions must be sought through negotiation and collaboration, with leaders having the authority to enforce disciplinary actions. To ensure fair enforcement, a committee will be formed to handle such matters without bias.

Furthermore, the agreement outlines strict discipline measures, including:

Prohibiting members from threatening or verbally abusing civilians.

Preventing internal conflicts between battalions and units.

Taking firm action against drug abuse and reckless gunfire inside villages.

Alliance members are strictly prohibited from using weapons to resolve misunderstandings among themselves. If a military operation needs to be conducted outside the designated area of responsibility of a particular force, prior notification must be given to the unit in charge of that area.

Salin Township is home to several infantry battalions, including Kha Ma Ya – 253, 254, and 255, as well as defense equipment factories in Pwint Phyu, Seikphyu, and Setottaya Townships, making it a strategically significant location.
