๐๐ 1. NUG Prime Minister Urges Swift Resolution of Complaints Submitted to the Central Government
March 21
National Unity Government (NUG) Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann has urged the swift resolution of complaints and grievances submitted to the central government, whether they come from the public or township administrations.
He made this statement during the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee Meeting held on March 20, where he serves as the committee chairperson.
The Prime Minister acknowledged that administrative operations cannot function with the usual direct orders and instructions as in normal times. At the same time, it is not a situation where absolute discretion is granted. Therefore, he emphasized the need for patience and reciprocal negotiation in carrying out administrative tasks.
He further stressed that complaints and reports submitted by the public or local administrative bodies should be addressed promptly. He urged relevant complaint-handling mechanisms to take swift action on these matters.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Directors-General, and other officials from relevant departments.
The NUG also announced that complaints related to misconduct by its personnel—including government staff, members of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), People's Security Force, and Local Administrative Bodies—as well as cases involving criminal offenses or sexual violence, can be submitted online to the NUG Central Complaint Committee, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Home Affairs Complaint Committees.

During the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, stated that the Myanmar military continues to use sexual violence as a weapon of war.
“The military’s brutal atrocities are causing immense suffering to women, young girls, and children. Sexual violence is being systematically used as a weapon of war by the military. Additionally, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun noted that Myanmar’s resistance forces have now secured over 70% of the country’s territory. He asserted that the military regime is on the verge of total defeat on the ground, while the people’s resistance forces are gaining victory.
He made these remarks during his closing speech at the CSW69 Side Event titled “Beijing Platform for Action 30+ Years and Beyond: A Critical Review and Future Directions for Myanmar.”
He concluded by emphasizing that this is a critical moment for Myanmar’s future, calling for collective efforts to build a better, more democratic nation.
