The event, which marked the completion of the first batch of CDF-Kanpetlet's basic military training, took place on February 28 after more than four months of intensive training. During the ceremony, the graduating soldiers pledged their oath and underwent a formal weaponry commissioning process.

With Kanpetlet, Kyindwe, and the entire southern Chin region now liberated from the control of the military junta, displaced civilians have begun returning to their homes. In light of this, the military training was conducted with the goal of fostering a disciplined and people-centered force capable of ensuring the full security and well-being of the local population.
According to the official statement, the training aimed to produce well-disciplined soldiers while strengthening alliances with neighboring resistance forces to continue the struggle for complete liberation.
CDF-Kanpetlet is a member of the Chinland Brotherhood, an alliance that, along with its partners, successfully captured Kanpetlet and Kyindwe in 2024. This is the first military training program conducted by CDF-Kanpetlet since its formation four years ago.
