๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Civilian Killed, Four Injured as Military Shelling Hits Farmers in Mobye
March 2
A civilian was killed, and four others were injured when the military fired artillery shells at farmers in western Mobye, near the Shan-Karenni border, despite the absence of ongoing clashes in the area, according to local news sources.
On March 1, the SAC forces launched artillery attacks, resulting in one civilian casualty and four others being wounded, as confirmed by the Mobye Rescue Team in an official statement.
Reports indicate that six artillery shells were fired from an SAC military base in Phe Khon, landing and exploding in farmlands west of Mobye, injuring civilians engaged in farming activities.
Among the casualties, a 16-year-old girl lost her life due to the indiscriminate shelling. The Mobye Rescue Team stated that they were able to provide timely medical assistance and guidance for the four injured individuals.
Although daily clashes continue between SAC forces and Revolutionary Joint Forces in northern Mobye, the attack on March 1 targeted a non-combat area where civilians were engaged in farming, rather than an active battlefield.
As of March 2, the SAC forces continue shelling Mobye with heavy artillery, according to local sources.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Junta Officers in Myawaddy Offensive Starve and Force Soldiers Into Fatal Combat, Says Defecting Soldier
March 2
A defecting soldier from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 94 has revealed that officers in the junta’s Aung Zeya Offensive Battalion, operating in Myawaddy Township, Karen State, are starving lower-ranking soldiers and forcing them into deadly frontline combat.
According to Nai Lin Htun, a soldier who defected to the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), troops under LIB 94, Shwe Nyaung Command are being denied food and forced to fight while their officers eat well and stay back.
"We were starving. We had no choice but to fight. They ate and drank while we were pushed to the front. They didn’t feed us; they just sent us to die," said Nai Lin Htun in a KNLA video interview released on March 1.
He added that he had been forcibly recruited under false pretenses after being promised a civilian job.
He also revealed that many junta soldiers are demoralized and desperate to defect but are threatened by officers, who warn that:
Any attempt to surrender or escape will result in execution
Defectors will be killed by revolutionary forces
Nai Lin Htun, now fighting alongside resistance forces, urged young people to join the revolution before being forcibly conscripted and sent to die on the frontlines.
