๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Continuous Airstrikes on Villages in Kawkareik and Kyainseikgyi Within a Single Day

According to KIC News, multiple villages in Kawkareik and Kyainseikgyi townships, located in the Karen National Union’s (KNU) Dooplaya District, were subjected to consecutive airstrikes on March 4.

On March 5 at around 1:30 AM, junta forces launched two airstrikes using jet fighters on Asun (Akyun) village in Kawkareik Township. The attack reportedly injured two civilians and destroyed three residential houses.

Similarly, on March 4 in the afternoon, junta forces carried out airstrikes using two jet fighters on Botdine village in southern Kawkareik, injuring two more civilians.

Later that evening and into the early hours of the night, jet fighter airstrikes targeted villages on the eastern bank of the Gyaing River in Kyainseikgyi Township, as well as other nearby villages in Kyaikdon Township.

Reports indicate that the bombings damaged schools and houses. However, details regarding casualties and injuries are still being investigated.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Hpa-an PDF and Inle PDF Deny Involvement in the Killing of a Monk and a Civilian in Hpa-an

The Hpa-an People's Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 1006 and Inle PDF Battalion 1009 have released a statement denying any involvement in the killing of a resident monk from a Shan monastery in Ohn Taing village, Na Hee village tract, Hpa-an Township, along with another civilian.

The incident occurred on March 4 at around 4:00 PM when an armed group shot and killed the monk and the civilian at the monastery.

Hpa-an PDF Battalion 1006 stated that they had no connection to this incident and reaffirmed that none of their members engage in such violent actions against innocent civilians. They vowed with their lives and integrity that they do not commit such acts.

They further mentioned that they will collaborate with the People’s Administration (Pa Ma Pha) to investigate the incident and uncover the truth.

Similarly, Inle PDF Battalion 1009, which operates around the Hpa-an–Nyaungshwe area, also denied any involvement, with its leadership and members stating that they had no part in the killings.

Both battalions emphasized that they would not tolerate any attempts to create division between the revolutionary forces and the public by spreading misinformation related to the incident.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. ABSDF Battalion 3 and Ye-Zagyo PDF Jointly Conduct Basic Military Training Graduation Ceremony

The All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), Battalion 3, in collaboration with the Ye-Zagyo Township People’s Defense Force (PDF), conducted a graduation ceremony for a basic military training program on March 2.

The training lasted for three and a half months, with over 120 revolutionary fighters successfully completing the program. The graduates took an oath while holding their flags, as reported.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Successful Completion of the 4th Batch of Basic Military Training by Battalion 2 of Minbu District in Military Region 1

The 4th batch of basic military training for Battalion 2 of Minbu District under Military Region 1 was successfully conducted and concluded on March 5.

During the graduation ceremony, awards were presented for Best Platoon, Best Discipline, and Best Model Soldier.

As Minbu District Battalion 2 continues to recruit new soldiers, individuals who stand with the people and wish to serve in the resistance are encouraged to reach out for further inquiries.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Attack on Junta Troops Transported via Dawei River Route in a Container Vessel

The Launglon People's Defense Force (PDF) has announced that they attacked and neutralized junta forces being transported down the Dawei River in a container vessel from Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region.

At around 4:30 PM on March 4, the attack targeted a junta contingent escorting military trainees along the Dawei River route. According to reports, casualties are likely on the junta’s side, though the exact numbers are still being verified. The allied resistance forces successfully retreated without sustaining any casualties.

This attack was carried out by the Launglon Township People’s Defense Force, Dawei Defense Team (DDT), and allied forces. Due to the ongoing targeted attacks against junta forces using the Dawei River for transport, fishermen and fishing boat operators have been warned against engaging in any transport or support activities related to the junta.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Two Paragliders (Paramotors) from Seikphyu's KPZ-22 Shot Down, One Pilot Injured

The Mying PDF has reported that two paramotors (motorized paragliders) from Seikphyu Township's KPZ-22 were shot at, resulting in injuries to one pilot.

The attack took place around 9:35 AM on March 5, when paramotors were flying to conduct operations causing distress to revolutionary forces and civilians. The attack was carried out by the joint forces of Mying, Pauk, and Kamma PDFs.

One of the pilots, identified as junta soldier Aung Zin Phyo, sustained a severe gunshot wound to the leg, which later required amputation.

Following the attack, one paramotor returned fire using onboard weaponry, while the other continued flying for a short time before both eventually landed back at KPZ-22.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Junta Forces Fled, Abandoning Weapons and Bodies in Sakan Gyi; Htilin Column Retrieved Weapons Three Months Later

A junta column of around 80 troops from Htilin marched out of Htilin Town at approximately 6:00 AM on March 5, reaching the Sakan Gyi area after more than three months. This movement was documented in the "Yaw Alin Tan" news report.

Previously, on November 28, 2024, an intense battle occurred between junta troops advancing from Htilin and local resistance forces. The junta suffered heavy losses and was forced to retreat hastily back to Htilin, abandoning both weapons and fallen soldiers' bodies.

Upon revisiting the site, the Htilin column found and documented the skeletal remains of junta casualties and recovered abandoned weapons and ammunition, including an RPG launcher.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 8. Pyu Saw Htee Convoy Returning from Shwebo Attacked, Vehicle Abandoned

On March 5, Pyu Saw Htee members from Pan Yan (Pyu) Village, led by Kyaw Win, traveled to Shwebo Town to procure supplies. Resistance forces, having received prior intelligence on their movement, launched an ambush under the command of the Shwebo PDF leadership.

The attack was carried out by the Shwebo PDF Operations Team (PDO), Zone 5 PDF Operations Team, Shwebo District Battalion 4, and local resistance fighters. The ambush took place on the Shwebo-Ye U road.

As a result, multiple Pyu Saw Htee members were injured, and their vehicle was abandoned on the roadside before they fled. The vehicle was severely damaged, making relocation difficult, and was subsequently burned down after necessary documentation.

Reports indicate that Pyu Saw Htee members likely suffered heavy casualties. However, one resistance fighter sustained serious injuries after stepping on a junta-planted landmine.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 9. Junta Soldier from Kha Ma Ya 556 Defects to Tanintharyi PDF with Weapon

A soldier from Kha Ma Ya 556 (Light Infantry Battalion 556), based in Zawae Village, Tanintharyi Township, defected to the Tanintharyi PDF with his weapon, according to an official statement from the Tanintharyi Township People's Defense Force.

The soldier, identified as Maung Wei Lin Htun, defected on November 4, 2024, bringing with him an MA-2 (light machine gun), 20 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, and a magazine.

The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense rewarded the defector with 6 million kyats in recognition of his decision.

The Tanintharyi PDF has reiterated its call for junta soldiers, police officers, forced conscripts, and any individuals wishing to stand with the people to contact allied resistance forces for safe defection.
