April 27
Radio NUG
The Yangon Region Representative Committee has announced with deep sorrow that U Nay Lin Aung (aged 45), Yangon Region Hluttaw (Parliament) Member representing Thanlyin Constituency No. (1) for the National League for Democracy (NLD), passed away and entered eternal rest on April 27, 2025.
U Nay Lin Aung was elected as the NLD’s Yangon Region Hluttaw representative for Thanlyin Constituency No. (1) during both the 2015 and 2020 general elections. From 2015 to 2020, he served as a member of the Yangon Region Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee.
During his tenure as a regional parliament representative, he actively dedicated himself both to the development of his constituency and, through his role in the Public Accounts Committee, to the prevention of public financial mismanagement. He was described as an energetic and committed parliamentarian.
Following the military coup on February 1, 2021, U Nay Lin Aung actively participated alongside fellow Yangon Region MPs in continuing legislative functions and operations. Moreover, he directly took part in revolutionary activities in liberated areas, leading and contributing to the resistance movement.
While personally engaging in challenging and dangerous frontline duties, his health deteriorated. Nevertheless, he persisted in his revolutionary responsibilities with unwavering determination. During the period when medical treatment became necessary, difficulties in security and communications delayed proper arrangements, and it was during this time that he suddenly passed away.
U Nay Lin Aung, entrusted by the people not only with political responsibilities but also with the historic duty of revolution, faithfully and steadfastly carried out his duties until his last moments. The Yangon Region Parliament honors and commemorates him with the highest respect.

Only when her condition reached an emergency level was she transferred to the hospital, after which she was reportedly taken back to the prison.
Ma Wut Yee Aung, a central executive member of the Dagon University Students’ Union, was arrested on September 14, 2021. She was sentenced to three years in prison under Section 505(a) by the junta and later received an additional four-year prison sentence under Section 52(a).

๐๐ 3. Urgent Support Needed to Build a School for 56 Displaced Students at the Shan-Karenni Border
April 27
Radio NUG
According to KPV News, urgent support is needed to build a school for students at two internally displaced persons (IDP) camps located along the Shan-Karenni border.
The proposed school aims initially to educate 56 displaced children from Kindergarten through Grade 5. In previous years, students had to be sent far away to attend school, which created significant challenges and caused some children to miss out on education entirely. Therefore, plans are now in place to establish a local school within the IDP camps to keep the children close to home.
Currently, only basic wooden poles have been erected, and there is a pressing need for assistance to provide roofing, walls, seating, and toilet facilities.
The displaced residents of these two camps are refugees from Moebye Township, who have endured over three years of displacement. They continue to face serious hardships in basic necessities, education, and healthcare.

April 27
Radio NUG
The Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA) has announced that it provided healthcare services to civilians and internally displaced persons (IDPs) within its area of operation.
Between April 1 and 3, DPLA collaborated with healthcare workers participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), medics, and field medical personnel to deliver healthcare services.
Due to the junta’s ongoing airstrikes, civilians face great difficulties accessing clinics and hospitals. To address this, the DPLA medical teams directly traveled to displaced communities to provide medical treatment on-site.
Additionally, Danu Medical Corps has supported the healthcare efforts by supplying necessary medicines and medical materials, enabling the teams to offer more comprehensive care.
