In Mantong Township, Military Region (4) of Ta'ang State, the opening ceremony for the Weekly (1) Territorial Control Training Course was held with the attendance and speeches of Deputy Chair Lieutenant General Tar Jyut Jar and Secretary-General General Tar Bhone Kyaw of the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), according to a TNLA announcement.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tar Jyut Jar emphasized that,

"Since Ta'ang State is home to a diverse range of ethnicities living together, it is imperative that territorial control officers perform their duties systematically. Beyond the core subjects taught in this training, trainees should also learn technical subjects that support policing operations. Minor issues must be eradicated, and major issues should be minimized."

The Weekly (1) Territorial Control Training Course will be taught by qualified instructors, with 36 trainees participating. The curriculum includes police ethics, the Criminal Code, and criminal procedure laws, aiming to deepen understanding of policing and territorial control duties. It is intended to contribute to reducing theft, robbery, drug trafficking and usage, and to foster the rule of law. The training will last for three months.

Additionally, General Tar Bhone Kyaw stressed,

"When people hear the word 'police,' most feel resentment and disdain, often because of the misconduct and abuses they have experienced. A city where citizens live in fear of the police cannot be a happy city. Therefore, it is essential that police officers intensify their efforts to uphold the rule of law."

It was reported that the opening ceremony was attended by over 50 people, including senior leaders of the PSLF/TNLA, department officials, instructors, and trainees.
