๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. NUG’s Ministry of Defense Announces Full Capture of Inndaw City, Former Base of SAC’s Division 77 Frontline Command

April 8 – Radio NUG

On the night of April 7, 2025, the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) officially announced the complete seizure of Inndaw City, which had served as the frontline base of the SAC’s Division 77, a unit reportedly commanded directly by a junta division commander. This capture followed over eight months of sustained military operations under the directives of NUG’s No. (1) Military Region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Inndaw offensive was a prolonged and strategic campaign. Junta forces reportedly suffered major setbacks including supply chain failures, lack of reinforcements, severe casualties, and loss of territorial control, rendering them incapable of withstanding sustained pressure from revolutionary forces. Ultimately, the final remaining junta unit, including the commander, abandoned their stronghold—located in a WWII-era Japanese bunker—at around 9:00 PM on April 7.

The operation was executed under the command of NUG’s No. (1) Military Region with the participation of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), Katha District PDF Battalions 1 through 4, the Katha District Special Task Force, Special Ranger Battalions SR-1 and SR-10, and multiple regional People’s Defense Groups (Pa Ka Pha) from Inndaw, Banmauk, Katha, and the greater Katha District. Additional forces included the Shwebo District Command No. (2), Pyin Oo Lwin District Battalions 509, 510, 512, Pyin Oo Lwin District Battalions 1 and 2, student battalions from ABSDF Units 11 and 14, Kachin Independence Army (KIA) 9th Brigade, Monywa PDF (KPDF), Kale District Battalion 10, Rocket Battalion, and multiple drone units including MOD Drone Force, ABSDF, K2, SR-1, Unit 1849 Drone Team, and the Kanbalu District Drone Battalion. Artillery units from Katha District and commando teams from Myinchan District also joined the operation.

Initial reports indicate the seizure of a significant cache of weaponry, including two Howitzer artillery pieces, two 120mm mortars, and a large amount of small arms and ammunition.

April 8 – Radio NUG

Urban Special Operation (USO) has confirmed that five junta soldiers were killed and sixteen others injured during a missile strike on the SAC’s No. 11 Defense Equipment Factory (Ka Pa Sa 11) in Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region.

On the night of April 4, three long-range Mizayne missiles were launched at the factory. Information provided by local civilian informants from “Inner Watermelon” indicated that the assault caused extensive damage to a small arms factory, as well as the destruction of nearby munition and ammunition warehouses.

Following the attack, the junta reportedly increased internal inspections, heightened security measures, and began sweeping operations in collaboration with civilian informants to suppress news leaks and maintain control in the area.

The operation was jointly carried out by Urban Special Operation (USO) and the Shadow Armed Force (S.A.F).

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Eight Junta Troops Killed in Defense Assault after SAC Forces Exploit Ceasefire in Taungoo

April 8 – Radio NUG

The Warazain Group reported that revolutionary forces were compelled to launch a defensive assault against a junta military column that took advantage of the temporary ceasefire—declared due to the devastating earthquake—to conduct an offensive in Pade Village, Taungoo Township.

On April 6, a junta force of over 100 troops advanced from the northern part of Pade Village and set up camp at a local monastery. In response, Warazain’s advanced drone strike unit and suppression team, alongside the Northern Than Taw Myaut People’s Defense Force, engaged in a coordinated counterattack.

The engagement reportedly penetrated deep into the junta’s jammer zone and launched a "drop attack" during a vulnerable moment in the junta’s formation. Suppression units then closed in to deliver a direct offensive.

Subsequently, the junta responded with heavy artillery and machine-gun fire, forcing revolutionary forces—who had reached positions near enemy weapons caches—to temporarily withdraw.

Reinforcements from the joint defense team intercepted the junta’s medical evacuation route with landmine attacks, reportedly resulting in the deaths of approximately eight SAC troops and injuries to at least five more.

Only one resistance fighter sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries. However, during the night, junta forces retaliated by shelling the peaceful village of Than Moe Taung with heavy artillery and were also reported to have set fire to the RC Monastery within the village.
