๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Six Killed, Including Four PDF Members, in Junta Airstrike on Bahin Village, Myaing Township
May 21
Six individuals, including four members of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), were killed when the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike on Bahin Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region, according to the local resistance group We Love Myaing.
A single fighter jet from the Tada-U air base carried out the bombing without any preceding battle. The strike occurred around 5:25 p.m. on May 20, targeting a local restaurant near the village school.
The attack claimed the lives of four PDF personnel who were dining at the restaurant, along with the mother and son who owned the establishment.
The slain PDF members were identified as Commander Zaw Myat, David, Mun, and Lin Yone—fighters from Company 3 of Battalion 12 under the TRIPLE-R force in the Yama Pin District, We Love Myaing reported.
Just a day earlier, at around 8:30 p.m. on May 19, the military had also carried out an aerial assault near Phyathi Village in northeastern Myaing Township using a jet fighter, injuring four civilians.
Resistance forces have urged civilians to remain alert and vigilant, warning of intensified and indiscriminate junta air raids that increasingly target civilian populations with hostile intent.

May 21
At least eight junta soldiers were killed in a clash with resistance forces after a military column of over 90 troops departed from Nyaung-U Township in Mandalay Region, according to the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA).
The clash occurred on May 20, during which a junta drone reportedly malfunctioned and crashed. Resistance fighters confirmed at least eight junta casualties.
Later that night, the military column entered Joe Kan Village and looted civilian property, according to local reports.
Due to ongoing junta troop movements, an estimated 4,000 civilians from Joe Kan and surrounding villages have fled their homes and are now displaced.
The PDA has also called on the public to support their campaign titled “Balanced Response to Pantaingyi”, which marks the group’s first formal campaign effort during the four years of armed resistance.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Junta Troops Flee Bases in Paungde Amid Encirclement by Resistance Forces; Civilians Urged to Beware of Airstrikes
May 21
Some junta troops stationed in Paungde Township, Bago Region, have fled their bases as they were unable to withstand the coordinated offensives by resistance forces, according to Battalion 3602 of the People's Defense Force (PDF) in Pyay District.
Due to the collapse and retreat of junta personnel from certain military outposts, civilians in the region are being urgently warned to exercise extreme caution regarding potential aerial attacks.
The PDF reported that due to the siege and assaults by joint resistance units, troops from several junta bases in Paungde fled their posts, allowing resistance forces to seize control of those sites.
On May 17, a military convoy of 70 junta troops was en route to reinforce the Thitpok Tower Base in Paungde. However, the convoy was ambushed by PDF Battalion 3602, Battalion 3601, and the Pyay District branch of the Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Coalition), resulting in three junta deaths and multiple injuries. Following this, junta troops reportedly abandoned the Theimkone Tower Base.
Resistance forces launched a follow-up operation against the fleeing troops on the night of May 18, leading to the complete retreat of all remaining junta personnel from the base. By May 19, resistance forces had successfully taken full control of the Theimkone Tower Base, according to their official report.
The Thitpok Tower Base troops were previously known for abducting civilians and committing atrocities such as arson and extrajudicial killings in nearby villages. Consequently, clashes between these troops and resistance units had occurred frequently in the area.
The fleeing junta soldiers from these abandoned outposts are now reportedly being redeployed to frontline positions in the Rakhine border region and resistance strongholds in Magway Region via routes through Pyay City. As a result, Battalion 3602 has issued renewed warnings to civilians in those areas to remain on high alert for potential airstrikes.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. SAC Airstrikes Cause Over 1.5 Million Yuan in Damages to Shwe San Mining Company in Naungcho Township
May 21
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that the Myanmar military launched airstrikes using two 500-pound bombs on the Shwe San Mining Company, located in Naungcho Township under the 2nd Military Region of Ta’ang State. The attack, carried out without any active combat taking place and despite a declared ceasefire, caused over 1.5 million Chinese Yuan in losses.
According to TNLA, the airstrike occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on May 11, when junta forces dropped the bombs from a jet fighter directly onto the mining company premises.
The attack destroyed one used backhoe, one mineral extraction machine, a warehouse containing machinery, and numerous other materials, resulting in an estimated CNY 1,680,000 in damages.
Additionally, on May 18 at around 5:30 p.m., the junta once again carried out airstrikes in Naungcho Township, this time near Yadanar Thingi Village in the Doepin Village Tract. Without any ongoing clashes, the junta dropped six 250-pound bombs from a jet fighter in this area, TNLA further reported.
Although the junta has publicly declared a ceasefire until May 31, it continues to launch offensives in areas under the administration of the PSLF/TNLA, including coordinated ground assaults and deliberate artillery fire. Daily airstrikes, including those involving drones and other aircraft, have also been reported.
The PSLF/TNLA Information and Public Relations Department urged local residents to remain constantly alert and prepared for potential airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery shelling by the junta to ensure their safety.
