“The terrorist military regime deliberately targets civilians, especially schools, hospitals, and markets. As they are losing ground in battles on the ground, they resort to aerial attacks as a military strategy during the armed conflict. These acts constitute war crimes under international law. Therefore, the NUG has been systematically documenting these airstrikes.”
Given the large number of injuries, the death toll from this airstrike could increase further, sources indicated.

๐๐ 2. South Korea’s Foreign Protection Committee to Decide on Deportation of Undocumented Migrants – Evidence Submission Requested
June 9
Radio NUG
The NUG Labor Affairs Representative Office in South Korea has announced that the Foreign Protection Committee will determine whether undocumented migrants in South Korea should be deported or not. Therefore, individuals are urged to gather and submit evidence relevant to their cases.
The announcement stated:
“Today, we visited the South Seoul Immigration Office. A new law regarding overstayers (those residing without valid visas) has come into effect as of June 1. Those with a pending visa extension application must re-submit the documents they originally submitted along with a formal release request to avoid being sent to detention.”
Decisions regarding deportation of detainees will not be made by immigration officers themselves, but by the Foreign Protection Committee.
If the submitted evidence is deemed insufficient or inconclusive, deportation will proceed. Thus, individuals must provide timely updates regarding their visa status, political involvement, and all supporting documents that prove returning is not possible or unsafe.

๐๐ 3. People’s Soldier Stabbed to Death by Conscription Soldier in Naypyitaw
June 9
Radio NUG
On June 8 at around midnight, a conscript soldier fatally stabbed a fellow soldier named Ko Nan Saung, who was serving as a people’s soldier at No. (3) Military Security and Accommodation Battalion in Naypyitaw. The information was provided by a source close to the victim.
Earlier in the evening, the two soldiers reportedly argued during a meal over mess hall issues. Around 7:00 p.m., another verbal dispute occurred during roll call. Later that night, around midnight, the conscript—who was allegedly intoxicated—waited outside Dormitory (8). When Ko Nan Saung came out to use the restroom, he was followed from behind and stabbed multiple times in the neck with a sharpened metal object.
Ko Nan Saung was found near the restroom, bleeding heavily from his neck. He was still alive at the time.
He was initially brought to the military clinic and then transferred to Hospital-1000, but he died en route.
The assailant was taken into custody.
Both the victim and the perpetrator were from the same logistics support battalion. Following the incident, the Directorate of Logistics and Transportation dispatched its director to the battalion, where he was reported to have verbally abused soldiers and even struck a soldier who was sleeping.
According to sources within the Naypyitaw logistics community, internal reports falsely framed the event to obscure earlier disputes between the soldiers and portrayed the incident as a sudden, accidental altercation that escalated when they crossed paths near the restroom.
