🚩🚩 1. KNLA and PDF Joint Forces Seize Thebawboe Camp

According to military sources, the KNLA and allied PDF forces successfully launched an assault and seized the Thebawboe military camp of the junta, located south of Myawaddy, near the Thai–Myanmar border.
The final capture of the Thebawboe camp was achieved around 7 p.m. on June 3. During the battle, some junta troops surrendered with white flags while others were either killed or wounded. It is reported that around 40 junta soldiers were killed or injured in total.
The KNLA-led joint forces had surrounded and blockaded the Thebawboe camp since May 26, and began launching coordinated attacks on the morning of June 3.
In an attempt to defend the camp, the junta’s Wal Lay Byuha Base provided artillery support using 120 mm shells, and also conducted aerial bombardments at least 25 times, dropping an estimated 70 bombs, including 500-pound bombs.
Since mid-May, joint forces led by the KNLA under KNU Brigade 6 have launched a major offensive along the Thai–Myanmar border, seizing multiple junta bases. Only Ukarit, Tee Thalel, Tee Kapa Lel, and Wal Lay Byuha bases remain under junta control in that sector.

🚩🚩 2. 20 Junta Troops Killed in Min Hla Township Clash at PDF Checkpoint; One PDF Fighter Killed

On June 2, junta troops originating from Letthitpyu Village in Min Hla Township launched a morning assault on a PDF checkpoint in Tuwin Village, according to a statement from local resistance forces in Upper Myanmar.
Approximately 70 junta soldiers entered the area and were engaged by Upper Myanmar resistance fighters. According to field reports, at least 20 junta soldiers were killed in the battle.
The fighting reportedly lasted from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.. One People’s Defense Force (PDF) fighter was killed and six others were injured during the engagement.
The coordinated counter-attack involved multiple resistance groups, including:

🚩🚩 3. 8 Killed Including Pyu Saw Htee Leader in Bagan Myothit, Gantgaw Ward

According to the Htan Naung Myay Guerrilla Column, eight individuals, including a Pyu Saw Htee leader, were shot and killed in Gantgaw Ward of Bagan Myothit, located in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region.
On June 1, junta-aligned Pyu Saw Htee leader Ko Zaw Zaw and seven followers were reportedly extorting local residents at the Zayat (religious rest house) on the hilltop of the ward. Based on this intelligence, resistance forces launched an assault.
During the operation, Pyu forces attempted to retaliate using hand grenades (Na Nat Thi), but the grenades detonated prematurely. As a result, all eight Pyu members, including Ko Zaw Zaw, were killed, and one other was injured.
The joint operation was carried out by the Htan Naung Myay Guerrilla Column in collaboration with the Bagan & Nyaung-U Special Task Force.
Weapons and materials recovered include:
- One Point-22 caliber rifle
- One carbine rifle
- One hand grenade
- Ten carbine bullets
- Six Point-22 bullets
- Two motorcycles
- Various identification and supporting documents from Pyu operatives

🚩🚩 4. Three Pyu Militiamen Killed in Ambush During Mango Harvest in Pakokku Township

On June 2, in Kokkosu Pyu Village, northern Pakokku Township, Magway Region, a group of Pyu militiamen gathering mangoes was ambushed in a coordinated surprise attack by the Nway Oo Nyi Naung Guerrilla Force and the BLY People’s Defense Force (Pakokku Pa Ka Pha).
The ambush resulted in the deaths of three Pyu militiamen. Resistance fighters also seized:
- One AK-47 assault rifle
- 26 rounds of ammunition
It was reported that the operation was executed without any casualties among the resistance fighters, who were able to retreat successfully after completing the mission.

🚩🚩 5. Mon Liberation Army Announces Five Defections

The Mon Liberation Army (MLA) has officially announced that five of its soldiers deserted their posts without informing their commanding officers during active duty.
According to the statement, the deserters include Officer Aung San Moe (aka Banyar), Private Myo Hein Khine (aka Kyaung Thar), and soldiers San Naing Lin, Thant Zinn Thu, and Maung Paing.
Three of the deserters fled from frontline positions, while another left during his duty shift at a rear base. The fifth individual reportedly abandoned his post after seizing a motorcycle belonging to the army and a power bank belonging to a fellow soldier.
The MLA emphasized that all members of the armed forces are required to report to their commanding officers and seek formal permission before leaving their posts. Failure to do so constitutes desertion and will result in disciplinary action under military regulations.
The MLA further stated that it would not assume responsibility for any future conflicts or social issues involving these five soldiers, whose acts of desertion are clearly in violation of military law. This statement serves as a public notice to both the general public and allied revolutionary forces.

🚩🚩 6. Junta and PNO Forces Torch Phayar Taung and Yae Pu Villages

Combined forces of the military junta and the People's Militia Force under the Pa-O National Organization (PNO/PNA) launched coordinated raids and set fire to Phayar Taung and Yae Pu villages in Nyaungshwe Township, southern Shan State, according to a statement by the Inlay People's Defense Force (PDF).
The clashes reportedly began at around 8:00 a.m. on June 2, when approximately 1,000 troops from the joint junta-PNA column, including forces from Light Infantry Battalion 1009, came into contact with the Inlay PDF.
Due to the disparity in numbers, the Inlay PDF strategically withdrew from the engagement without sustaining casualties at around 4:00 p.m. The junta forces then entered the villages at approximately 4:30 p.m. and began systematically setting fire to homes.
Fires destroyed homes in the northern section of Yae Pu village as well as residences in Phayar Taung belonging to U Zaw Zaw Tun, U Ya Kyaw, U Aung Lin Oo, and U Kyaw Naing Oo, among others, according to reports.

🚩🚩 7. Junta Sergeant and Police Officer Defect to Resistance in Shwegyin and Hakha

A sergeant from the 440th Infantry Battalion based in Daik-U, Bago Region, has defected to the resistance, bringing with him ammunition and hand grenades, according to reports.
The defection occurred after revolutionary forces launched an assault on the junta military outpost stationed in Kwan Seik village, Shwegyin Township. Following the attack, the sergeant left the base with various types of ammunition and explosives and defected to the People’s Defense Force.
The Bago Region Military Affairs Committee of the National Unity Government awarded the sergeant a cash reward of 1 million kyats in recognition of his defection and contribution to the resistance.
Similarly, on May 31, a police officer from Hakha brought his firearm and ammunition and defected to the Chinland Defense Force - Hakha.
CDF Hakha warmly welcomed the officer, awarded him a recognition bonus, and ensured his safe relocation to a secure area, according to their statement.
