๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. 34 Junta Troops Killed and Over 70 Surrendered in Airstrike Mishap During Seik Baw Baw Base Seizure

According to military sources, 34 junta soldiers were killed and over 70 surrendered with white flags during the battle to seize the Seik Baw Baw base, located south of Myawaddy in Karen State.

The attack on the base began around 9:00 a.m. on June 3 and by approximately 2:00 p.m., news emerged that the base had been overrun. In response, the junta conducted more than 25 airstrikes in an attempt to halt the offensive.

However, the KNLA-led joint forces paused their ground assault during the airstrikes, resulting in the junta's own air force mistakenly bombing their wounded soldiers, causing at least 34 deaths and many injuries.

At about 6:00 p.m., KNLA and allied forces resumed the attack and successfully captured and cleared the base by approximately 7:00 p.m.

During the operation, more than 70 junta troops surrendered with white flags, and a large cache of weapons and ammunition was seized by the resistance forces.
