๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. PNO People’s Militia Forces Over 6,000 Civilians to Evacuate from 2 Village Tracts in Hsihseng Township

June 9

On June 9, the Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) reported that the PNO People’s Militia, operating under the control of the military council, has issued evacuation orders to more than 6,000 civilians from two village tracts in Hsihseng Township, demanding they leave their homes by June 15.

The villages ordered to evacuate include:

From Naung Kyaung village tract:

Tapu Hto

Kaung Hto

Lwai Ngone

Naung Bo

Pin Sat

From Taung Hse village tract:

Naung Htaw 6 Village

The junta-backed PNO militia issued written orders to these villages on June 7, stating that all residents must evacuate by June 15. The notice also warned that they would not be held responsible for any consequences if the villagers failed to comply.

Furthermore, the notice explicitly prohibited evacuees from relocating to farms or internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. Instead, it directed all evacuees to move only to the Mei Taw Pagoda compound in Bohyar Phyu Village in Hsihseng Township.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Public Protest March with Banner: Boycotting the Fascist Election and Marching Bravely on the Federal Path

June 9

A public protest movement opposing the military dictatorship was organized on the afternoon of June 8 in Launglon Township, Dawei District, under the leadership of the Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC).

This demonstration was carried out under the theme "Boycott the Fascist Election, March Bravely on the Federal Path", as an act of resistance against the sham election being orchestrated by the terrorist military council. The junta is reportedly aiming to hold this illegitimate election during the third and fourth weeks of December 2025, and the first and second weeks of January 2026.

According to the Strike Committee, this counterfeit election, which serves as a political ploy by the military council, is intended to prolong and legitimize the military dictatorship. As such, the public must decisively oppose it through political means.

A large number of local residents, including women and youth, actively participated in this anti-election public protest movement.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Anti-Dictatorship Demonstration by Students on a Public Road in Yinmarbin Township

June 9

In a location along a public roadway within Yinmarbin Township, members of the Yinmarbin Township Students’ Union and the Pale Township Students’ Union (both under the umbrella of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions - ABFSU) jointly carried out an anti-dictatorship protest.

The protest featured a banner that read: “We cannot coexist with both the noose and the blade”—symbolizing resistance to the oppressive military regime.

The student unions stated that:

“In May 2025, the junta made propaganda efforts to reopen basic education schools and universities in military-controlled areas, including frontlines and conflict-adjacent regions. At the same time, they began forcibly collecting household lists and personal information from local students and their families. Moreover, schools have started extorting money for promotion to the next grade, and business owners with ties to the junta are distributing money and exercising manipulative control over locals through unethical means to sustain their operations.”

These conditions have caused widespread concern among the local population. In response, the ABFSU hung the banner and held the protest as an act of resistance against the junta’s oppressive bureaucratic dictatorship.
