๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Airstrike on Buddhist Monastery Shelter in Lintalu Village Kills 22 Civilians, Including 3 Children, and Injures Over 50

On the morning of July 11, 2025, a military aircraft from the terrorist junta launched an aerial attack from Tada-U Air Base targeting the Lintalu village monastery, where war-displaced civilians had taken refuge in Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region. The People’s Ministry for Human Rights under the NUG reported that the airstrike killed 22 civilians, including three children, and left more than 50 injured.

The ministry noted that since June 17, heavy clashes between local defense forces and junta troops had been ongoing near Sagaing Township, prompting more than 10,000 civilians from seven villages to flee their homes and seek safety elsewhere.

The July 11 airstrike specifically targeted the Maha Thitsawadi monastery in Lintalu village, where approximately 200 displaced persons were sheltering. Nearly 30 people were killed, and the death toll may rise further due to the severity of the injuries, the report said.

The junta's continued attacks against civilian populations, even during the Vassa season—a sacred period for Buddhist devotees known for its religious observances and merit-making activities—highlight its blatant disregard for human life and cultural values.

Union Minister U Aung Myo Min remarked:

“On July 11, at the very beginning of the Vassa season, a sacred and respected period for Buddhists, the terrorist military committed yet another heinous attack against Buddhist civilians.

By launching airstrikes on Buddhist monasteries and Dhamma halls, where people practice virtue and seek refuge, the junta has made it unmistakably clear that it holds no respect whatsoever—not only for Buddhism but for any faith.”

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Kyarmay Commando Unit Prepares for Direct Assault Roles in Urban Liberation Battles, Says MBT

July 11
Radio NUG

The Kyarmay Commando Unit is currently undergoing specialized training to take part in frontline assault operations during upcoming urban liberation battles, according to an announcement from Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT).

The training is being led by commanders and instructors from within the battalion, who have handpicked the commando fighters. These candidates undergo months-long screening, trials, and specialized instruction before being deployed.

A commando fighter must be capable of light, agile combat while equipped with Level 4 body armor, a helmet, and an AK-47, according to the report.

The ongoing "Kyarmay Hein Than Myo Tho Nyan" Campaign has successfully secured Level 4 armor and helmets for 50 commandos. However, the campaign is also working to repay outstanding debts for 50 high-precision combat rifles procured on credit from allied units. Therefore, the campaign is calling on the public to contribute and support the effort.
