๐๐ 2. “We Fight Today So the Next Generation Won’t Be Trapped in a Cycle of Oppression,” Says NUG Spokesperson
During the second livestream of the campaign “Onward to Victory — Bago to Tanintharyi,” worth ten million kyats, U Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, made the following remarks:
“Since the day we took up arms, we’ve had to bow our heads. But this is not out of hatred or the desire to kill. We bow our heads out of love. We do it out of love for our country and to ensure that our next generation will not be trapped in this same vicious cycle of oppression. That’s why we humbly bow our heads with love from the depths of our hearts.”
He added that the revolutionary forces are engaging in armed resistance not out of choice, but out of necessity—because the military has transformed from a state institution into a violent and oppressive force.
He stated that the terrorist military has killed thousands of people and burned down tens of thousands of civilian homes and buildings across the country.

๐๐ 5. Continued Call for Support and Donations to “Safe Schools, Safe Education” Campaign
The Ministry of Education under the National Unity Government (NUG) is continuing to call for support and donations to the Safe Schools, Safe Education Campaign, which aims to raise USD 400,000 and runs from July 15 to August 31.
The campaign invokes the poem “Learning Under Fire: Let the Flowers Bloom Again”, a piece once recited freely and joyfully by students in schools across Myanmar before the military’s coup. Since the unlawful seizure of power by the terrorist junta, schools that are not military targets have become victims of relentless airstrikes. As a result, the once-blossoming flowers of the homeland—Myanmar’s children—can no longer grow in freedom, nor attend school in peace and safety.
Despite the trauma, children in Myanmar continue to hope and strive to pursue education under the threat of air raids. The campaign seeks to provide safe learning environments in schools that are equipped with protective measures, allowing children to continue their education without fear.
The Ministry of Education urges everyone to participate in this campaign and help ensure that children in Myanmar can access safe, secure education. Details on how to contribute, along with contact points by country, are available on the official Ministry of Education’s Facebook Page.
