๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Emergency Aid Needed in Rakhine Due to Widespread Flooding from Heavy Rainfall
The Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO) has issued a report stating that continuous heavy rainfall since late June 2025 has caused widespread flooding and water overflow in various townships across Rakhine State, including Taungup, Mrauk-U, Minbya, Kyauk Taw, Pauktaw, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, and Maungdaw.

- Seed crops,
- Feminine hygiene products, and
- Basic healthcare services.
HDCO has called on local and international organizations to urgently coordinate with them in delivering essential aid to these disaster-stricken regions.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Unidentified Male Body Found Near Gas Pipeline in Kalain Aung, Near Military Battalion (282)
On July 22, the Karen National Union (KNU) released a statement reporting that an unidentified male body was discovered by locals near a gas pipeline close to the territory of the Myanmar military's Battalion 282, located in Kalain Aung, part of the Tharwa Khee village tract in Launglon Township, within the Myeik-Tavoy District under KNU-controlled territory.
The body was found approximately 2,000 meters from the rear command post of Battalion 282, within a military-secured zone. It was also noted that junta troops had been active just 500 meters away from where the body was found, about two days prior to its discovery.
Local sources suspect that junta troops had detained a villager they deemed suspicious, and that the brutal killing of an innocent civilian may have resulted from this interrogation. At present, community members are continuing to investigate to determine the identity of the deceased man and which village he belonged to.
Due to the tense military situation in the region, locals are being strongly advised to exercise extreme caution in their daily activities, movements, and interactions.
