๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Ten Civilians Massacred in Pulaw Township by Junta’s Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling
July 26
A total of ten civilians were killed en masse in Pulaw Township, Tanintharyi Region, due to aerial bombings and heavy artillery shelling carried out by the military junta, according to a statement released today, July 26, by the Public Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 1 of Myeik District.
The incident occurred at 10:20 PM on July 25, when the junta forces deployed a drone to drop a bomb on a house in Zayat Seik Village, Pulaw Township, resulting in the death of one civilian and injuries to two others.
While rescue efforts were underway for those wounded in the drone strike, junta forces stationed on Padat Set Daw Yar Hill launched artillery shells, one of which struck the same house, causing an explosion that killed nine more civilians and injured three additional individuals, the statement said.
The victims were innocent civilians who had sought temporary shelter in nearby villages after being unable to continue their travels due to fighting along the Union Highway, according to PDF Myeik District Battalion 1.
The statement further accused the junta of deliberately targeting civilians, stating that the military no longer distinguishes between armed resistance fighters and unarmed civilians, and is instead committing clear and systematic war crimes with impunity.
In light of the potential for escalating clashes between junta forces and revolutionary troops in Pulaw Township, the revolutionary forces have urged:
- Civilians in the region to dig and prepare bomb shelters systematically
- Those currently in active conflict zones to evacuate to safer areas as quickly as possible

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Myeik-Pulaw Road Section Closed Indefinitely Due to Junta Attacks by Land, Sea, and Air — Myeik District PDF Battalion 1 Issues Warning
July 26
Because the military junta is conducting heavy assaults using ground, naval, and air forces, the Myeik-Pulaw section of Union Highway No. 8 will be closed indefinitely, according to a public warning issued by Myeik District People’s Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 1.
This announcement was made on July 25, in response to the escalating conflict situation in Pulaw Township, where clashes between junta forces and allied resistance troops — including Myeik PDF Battalion 1 — have been ongoing since July 23.
The junta has been employing artillery, naval firepower, and airstrikes, leading to an intensification of the conflict. As a result, residents living near junta military camps have been urged to immediately evacuate their homes and seek safer areas. For those unable to flee and sheltering in place, Myeik Battalion 1 strongly advises staying in fortified and concealed locations inside their homes for safety.
The PDF added that soon after they announced the indefinite closure of the Myeik–Pulaw highway section, junta forces launched airstrikes and artillery attacks, which resulted in the deaths of 10 civilian refugees and injuries to five others.
The report also noted that on Martyrs' Day, July 19, at around 10:30 AM, the junta conducted jet fighter bombings near Myaingma Village, part of the Zayat Seik village tract in Pulaw Township. That attack killed more than four civilians and destroyed three homes, according to the records of Myeik PDF Battalion 1.
The PDF emphasized that the junta's systematic use of all branches of the armed forces — army, navy, and air force — shows a deliberate escalation of violence, further endangering civilians in the region.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Junta Soldier from Kalay-based LIB 228 Defects to PDF Battalion 2 in Tamu District
July 26
A junta soldier from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 228, under the Kalay Tactical Command, stationed at Minthar Village in Tamu District, Sagaing Region, has defected peacefully to the resistance, according to an official statement from PDF Battalion 2 of Tamu District.
The defector, 31-year-old Nay Win Tun (aka Ko Paing), who had just completed Weekly Military Training Course 1, surrendered himself to Tamu District Battalion 2 on July 11 without carrying any weapons.
He said he was conscripted into the military after being selected through the junta’s draft lottery following the enactment of the mandatory military service law by the military council.
PDF Battalion 2 of Tamu District is calling on other soldiers still in the junta’s ranks, including newly conscripted personnel, to awaken to the truth and defect as soon as possible to the embrace of the people.
These reports were sent by Radio NUG correspondent Ko Khant.
