๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Civilian Killed and Religious Buildings Damaged in Katha Township Due to Indiscriminate Shelling by Military Fleet Along Ayeyarwady River

27 July

According to the Township People's Administration Team, a military flotilla moving upstream along the Ayeyarwady River fired indiscriminately with heavy artillery as it passed through Katha Township, resulting in the death of one civilian and damage to religious structures, including pagodas.

On 25 July, a total of 17 vessels and accompanying advance boats that had departed from Gaungtan Port in Mandalay docked near Katha Township.

The military flotilla resumed movement on 26 July, and while passing through villages in the northern part of Katha, the vessels reportedly continued firing heavy artillery without pause, while also conducting aerial attacks—at least two airstrikes by Jet Fighters and over 20 attacks by Y-12 aircraft.

As a result of these assaults, religious buildings, including pagodas in Moetar Lay Village, were damaged, as reported by the Township People's Administration.

Furthermore, the reckless and indiscriminate attacks by the terrorist military forces resulted in the death of one civilian, with several others injured. Residential homes and other buildings were also reported to have been damaged.

The current information is based on initial reports, and it is believed that the actual scale of damage and casualties on the ground may be even greater.

With the flotilla believed to be heading toward Bhamo in Kachin State, revolutionary forces in the region have urged residents living along the Ayeyarwady River and especially those along the riverbanks to evacuate immediately and take shelter.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Terrorist Junta Launches Airstrikes on PNLO Headquarters Area and Surrounding Villages Despite No Active Combat

27 July

The terrorist military launched airstrikes on the headquarters area of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO) and its surrounding villages despite there being no armed conflict in the area, according to a statement released today (27 July) by the Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA).

At around 3:00 p.m. on 26 July, the military conducted four airstrikes using two Jet Fighters, targeting both the PNLO headquarters area and Naung Thaw Village, dropping bombs including 500-pound explosives.

While the attacks caused damage to civilian homes and buildings, the statement did not specify whether there were any civilian casualties.

In addition to the airstrikes on the PNLO headquarters and Naung Thaw Village, a bomb was also dropped near Lwel Chay Lan Junction, where junta troops and junta-aligned PNO militia forces were stationed.

The PNLA also noted that this is not the first such incident—according to their records, the junta military had previously launched no fewer than three airstrikes targeting the PNLO headquarters area and surrounding villages, which resulted in the destruction of civilian houses and public health facilities.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Civilian Killed, 9 Injured as Military Airstrike Hits Rural Health Clinic in Pauk Township

27 July

A civilian was killed and nine others injured when the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike targeting a rural health clinic in Saphal Village, located in Pauk Township, Magway Region, according to the local civil society organization "Anyar Myay Myoain".

On 26 July at around 4:00 PM, the military launched two air-dropped bombs from aircraft, despite the absence of any active combat in the area. The attack reportedly caused civilian casualties and property damage.

As a result, the clinic and several nearby homes were damaged, one civilian was killed, and nine others were injured. Among the injured, four individuals are in serious condition, the organization stated.

The military deliberately targeted the small rural health clinic and surrounding areas with aerial bombardment, despite no presence of fighting, according to local sources.

Given that the military continues to intentionally target civilians with airstrikes, the Anyar Myay Myoain civil society group has urged civilians to remain vigilant, avoid confrontation with advancing military columns, and take extreme caution in the face of aerial threats.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Airstrike on Palaw Town Kills One Monk, Severely Injures Another

27 July

A monk was killed and another seriously injured when Myanmar’s military conducted an airstrike on Palaw Town in Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region, according to local news sources.

On 26 July, beginning at 8:00 AM and continuing into the afternoon, military aircraft repeatedly bombed Palaw Town, resulting in damage to civilian homes and the Thein Htaung Monastery.

The bombings caused one monk to lose his life, and another monk to sustain serious injuries, local reports confirmed.

The news outlet Dawei Watch, which monitors developments in the area, reported that the military carried out four separate airstrikes on the same day, using jet fighters.

According to sources cited by Dawei Watch, one monk was killed instantly, and the other lost a leg due to the severity of the blast.

Although intense fighting has been occurring between junta forces and resistance groups in Palaw Township, residents have accused the junta of targeting non-combatant areas and civilians with indiscriminate bombings.
