July 30
According to a statement released today, July 30, by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), six civilians, including a child, were killed and seven others injured when the military junta launched an airstrike using a jet fighter on Kutkai Town, which is under TNLA control.

The attack reportedly occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. today, July 30, while residents were still asleep. The junta aircraft dropped two 250-pound bombs on Yarsuthit Hotel located in Ward 2 of Kutkai Town.

The blast from the bombs killed one child, one woman, and four men. Additionally, three women and four men were injured. Two homes and parts of the hotel structure were also damaged by shrapnel and the blast.

Kutkai is among the towns captured and held by the TNLA during the Operation 1027 campaign in northern Shan State.

TNLA further reported that, within this month alone, the junta has conducted 28 airstrikes in areas under the control of the PSLF/TNLA—including Kyaukme, Mongngawt, Naungcho, Hsipaw, and Mogok townships. These airstrikes have killed two children and thirteen men, injured four children, thirty-five men, and nine women, and destroyed 76 civilian homes, two schools, and two monasteries, according to TNLA’s Department of Information and Public Relations.

In light of these continued attacks, the TNLA urges civilians to maintain high alertness, take necessary precautions to avoid airstrike casualties, and follow all relevant air defense safety protocols.

July 30

A spokesperson from Pakokku District Battalion-15 reported that the public's deep resentment toward the junta was visibly apparent when junta troops were being transferred after being captured during a recent resistance operation in Mying Township.

The captured junta personnel were not mistreated and were held in accordance with the laws of war before being handed over to the Township People’s Defense Committee (PaKaPha), it was reported.

The twelve detainees included:

According to a press release from the All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF), a coordination meeting was held between the Myanmar Federal Democratic Student Troops (MFDST) and the Yadanarbon Column to discuss cooperation under a unified chain of command and coalition-building efforts, including joint political-military strategies.

On July 25, commanders from the MFDST Central Military Commission met virtually for the first time with commanders of the Yadanarbon Column.

During the meeting, the Yadanarbon Column presented its political stance, military background, historical context, ongoing operations, and regional conditions.

Both parties exchanged views and discussed how to enhance cooperation against military dictatorship and align political-military efforts according to shared strategic goals.

The ABSDF also noted that, earlier this month, MFDST had conducted ground meetings with the SF/SAF Central Committee, which leads the Student Armed Forces, and held additional virtual discussions with representatives of Anyar Tactic, led by its chief military strategist.
