Two fighters from the People's Democratic Army (PDA) were killed in action while resisting an advancing junta military column entering Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, from Gantgaw Village, Nyaung-U District.

At around 5 PM on July 28, intelligence revealed that two military trucks had broken off from a 15-truck junta convoy entering Gantgaw Village. While civilian evacuation was underway, two PDA fighters, known as Ye Baw Aung Gyi and Ye Baw Atay Lay, encountered enemy troops and engaged in a firefight.

In addition to the loss of two comrades, the PDA also lost one MA-1 rifle and one BA-94 firearm during the incident.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Heavy Weaponry Fired by Junta Forces Damages Two Power Lines of the Ohn Taw–Shwebo High-Voltage Transmission Line

Radio NUG

In Ohn Taw Township, Sagaing Region, heavy weapon fire by junta forces during a military incursion damaged two cables of the Ohn Taw–Shwebo 230 kV high-voltage transmission line, according to the Ministry of Electricity and Energy under the NUG, in Shwebo District.

The incident occurred at 6:18 AM on July 9, where two aerial earth cables from the Twin Tower Double Circuit were struck and damaged by heavy artillery.

The site of the damage lies between Sartaung Pugan Tu Switchyard and Thitchaukone (Shwe Moe Htein) Station, which are located in an area currently occupied by junta-aligned armed forces and experiencing active conflict, making repair operations very difficult.

Local electricity authorities under junta control—including U Aung Myat Soe, the head of the municipal electricity department, and officials from Shwebo District—have reportedly been unable to resolve the blackout.

In response, NUG Ministry of Electricity and Energy personnel from Wetlet Township risked traveling to Pole No. 159, near the frontline, to inspect the damage and assess line clearance.

The ongoing power outage is due to the area being under junta control. The NUG has clarified that it is taking all possible measures within its capacity, and local public administration teams are actively cooperating with the community to address the issue.
